A happening ambiance that makes college life just worth it Ramjas.

Entrance Preview

I didn't write any entrance exam.It was merit based. I just choose it because apparently seniors told it was easy but it happened to be the perfect choice I made.

Course Curriculum Overview

English honors was interesting. Practical Learning though a little less but research on poignant issues was fantastic.

Internships Opportunities

The college provided a lot many options for internships but the ones I did was all achieved by me with no assistance from college.

Placement Experience

I wasn't interested to sit for placements but have heard that the procedure was interactive and learning.

College Events

College authorities puts up fun and food fest in addition to cultural ones every year and it ushers a footfall of more than 10,000 students from different colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was under 10,000 per annum. Aptly affordable even for lower middle class families.

Campus Life

I didn't attend college regularly so not much a part of these extra curricular events.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel I didn't stay in so no idea about it. PG were real costly. They just have their own say on the PG rent and food sucked.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Exam Structure

More than a chill culture. My exam study seriously began a night before the same.

Faculty

Oh! I must say Ramjas has an amazing staff for English literature. Their depth for the subject is wonderful. They have interactive sessions with students divided into groups of 5 and taken better care of.

I choose B.A from DU SOL because the course curruculmis exactly the same as regular DU colleges which gives degree strong crediblity for UPSC goverment jobs and further studies like M.A the syllabus is coprehensive and covers core subjects like histyory, poltical science and english litreature in detail

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

The admission process of the college is through Cuet ug admission examination, I had applied to other top colleges of The University of Delhi including Kirori Mal College, Hindu College, St. Stephen's College and Hansraj College, However my score was best suited for Ramjas and I was allocated this college during counseling process. For admission into Delhi University, CUET exam is conducted based on your 12th subjects. Scoring atleast 750 above out of 800 is necessary to get into top colleges like Hindu, LSR, SRCC etc. Then based on the marks , you are allotted the college , there are 3 rounds of allotment.
