Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course(btech-cse) because of my passion for computer technology. My college course curriculum is very well-defined and includes all the subjects that any engineering college should have. Student to Faculty ratio is quite surprising 40:1. Some teachers are good and you would love to learn from them but some are quite dull in expressing their thoughts. A semester will have only two examinations Mid-Sem and End-Sem and the difficulty depends from subject to subject but overall they are moderate. Additional preparation for placement is provided at the end of 3rd-year to students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee-Structure is divided into many categories according to the different scholarship criteria and you can easily find it on the university's official website. If you have an Uttarakhand Domicile then you will get an additional 25% scholarship. Fees hike policy is about 10-15k per semester. Fees for the least privileged student (IN SCHOLARSHIP) are around 2.4 lakh/Year and with Uttrakhand's domicile, it is 2.1 lakh/year.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is not very good, It is just average because of a large crowd. Resources are present in college for every need but those look very less compared to the population of students in college. As I told earlier sports facilities are present in the college, they have a basketball ground, football ground, tennis court, etc. but they will look insufficient in front of the crowd present at the university. There are various clubs run by students and college faculties also actively participate and conduct many tech-fest and hackathons.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very well established and they will look quite expensive at first but if you manage your living outside college that would also be approximately the same. So there are 5 hostels for boys with different facilities and costs and with different types of room structures and 2 large hostels for girls and the girl's hostels are better than the boys. If you want to live in local rooms around the hostel then they will cost you around 4k-5k a month (excluding the food cost) and the surroundings almost consist of the college students. The place is very safe for girls and the environment is also very good. Meal quality is average locally but in a hostel, it is quite good.
Admission
There was no entrance examination for admission in btech(cse). Admission to btech is solely based on the 12th marks and Jee Mains Percentile. The eligibility criteria are You must be a science student and You must score >=60% in PCM.
Other Applied Colleges
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies - [UPES] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
I didn't found it suitable for myself because the fees is very high and management is also not well.
