- Our department faculties are helping nature reason being they are young and can relate with us.
Dislikes
- Rajendra Bhawan mess is not as good as other hostels so first year btech students might face a problem with that.
- Girls and boys ratio is quite low it is around 1:4 to 1:5
Course Curriculum Overview
IIT Roorkee has an industrial-used curriculum also this IIT Roorkee changes its course curriculum and makes it more and more industrial touch. Whereas if I say about faculty members then some very best professors and some are average and some have rude behaviour but not in educational qualification in educational qualification are professors are highly qualified.
Internships Opportunities
There are many students who do internships in the second and third year, some do online and some do offline, from covid online internships are more preferred by students and also many students get off-campus internships.
Placement Experience
Usually people say that if get IITs then after four year definitely you will get 4-5 lakhs per months like they want to say "Paisa hi Paisa hoga " , but actually it's not true although IITs definitely provide better jobs and education than a private institutions. But initially package is not so high.
Fees and Financial Aid
IITs are said that this government colleges but actually IITs are public autonomous college means the only different thing between private and public colleges is that in a public college, the college takes all fees but some by the goverment and some by students whereas in private colleges all fee given by students. IIT Roorkee's total four-year b.tech course fee is around 11-12 lakhs.
Campus Life
People think that if we get admission to IITs then our life is chill but actually, it's not true in IITs also students need to work hard and full filled their dream, But in IITs definitely students enjoy their life with their friends.
Hostel Facilities
In IIT Roorkee there is a total of 23 hostels of which 4 hostels are for girls and the rest are for boys also 3 new hostels are under construction. And if I talk about hostel accommodation in the first year of b.tech boys and girls both get three sharing and in the second year, double sharing and three years onwards get single rooms. But due to the old hostel infrastructure is not so good.
Admission
Yes, to taking admitted to IIT you need to give the entrance exam that JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Jee mains is held two times a year firstly in January and secondly in April whereas Jee Advanced is held once in May. Jee mains are 300 marks in which physics, chemistry and maths are equally divided.
