Course Curriculum Overview
The mechanical branch is one of the toughest fields in engineering. I like to learn about physics, manufacturing, and machines hence I choose Mechanical as my stream. The boy and girl ratio is not comparable. Only 10 - 15 girls out of 60 students in mechanical. Other branches have 20-25 girls out of 60 students. Most of the faculty are PHD's and some completed their MTech form IIT's or NIT's. Every semester has a semester exam (100 marks) in June & December and 2 Class tests (15 marks). The exam questions level is moderate and you can pass them easily with some preparation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure: Odd sem - Rs32000-33000 Even sem - Rs27000-29000 There is no campus placement or scholarship. You have to depend on yourself to get a job. I would like to give a bad rating to this college in terms of campus placement.
Campus Life
Scintilla is the only festival in college That is celebrated every year in April in the college. You can check on Facebook about Scintilla if you are interested. Just type Scintilla 2k17. Every year in May there is also a quiz competition which is on Tech. All course books are available in the library from new edition to old edition. Sports activities are not happening regularly. And classrooms are not in good shape. Most of the chairs and benches or fans or tube lights are damaged. They don't repair it.
Admission
Eligibility: The admission process is as it is in other government colleges. Counselling is done for admission and according to the score of JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) Mains, everyone gets their stream. The cutoff is very low even a student with negative marks in JEE Main can get admission in Mechanical Department. Application Form: Application From you will be available at every department, whichever department you want to apply to. The form fee is not applicable. Forms are available from June-July. Reservation benefits: There are no reservation benefits. Overall Admission process is simple but the staff is a little bit rude. One important thing: Bring your health certificate form from government hospitals. They don't accept health certificates from private hospitals.
