THE REALITY CHECK

I chose electrical engineering because circuits and chips always fascinated me and also hit my curiosity from time to time. The faculty of my branch at least is really chill and good to go with and doesn't fail any student till u have left your paper empty in the exam. The student ratio here is 4:1(boy: girl obviously). All professors here are PHD holders and have 15+ years of teaching. Some teachers are good but some teachers aren't when it comes to teaching. In a semester there are three main exams. Two midsems of 15 or 20 marks and an end-sem of 50 marks. Difficulty in passing depends on the subject.

From the sixth semester college students become eligible for placements. Google, Microsoft, PSUs(BEL, IOCL etc.) and many more. The highest package here goes to 45-50 lpa and the goes to 14 lpa. 70-80 per cent of students get placed here. I'm planning to take gate exam and get a job at a psu

The fee structure is somewhat of a problem and needs a bit more relaxation. But students who are below one lakh and between one to five lakh have benefited from the relaxation policy. You can avail of the scholarships provided by alumni here

Social life here is great and fun to be with. Here there are three fests which consists of two cultural fest and one tech fest. Utkarsh and Confluence are cultural fests and Techspardha is our tech fes. Our library has a lot of books and you can choose any author you want to read from. Classrooms are provided with six ACs a whiteboard a blackboard and a projector. There are so many clubs and societies this college consists of such as ELAD, MAD, EMR, SPICMACAY, and many more

In first year you will be provided with triple seater room and from further years you will get single seater rooms... Meal provided here is not that good... Registration process for hostel will be included with the colllege admission one....

The eligibility to avail seat in Nits is to clear the jee mains by gaining at least 95 %tile and score 75 % above in your respective boards. Application forms for jee mains are available on the official website of NTA and details of its fees and dates are also provided with it. I can't say about benefits related to reservation coz I didn't have any. I would want full transparency towards the josaa procedure or counselling procedure because for many years it has been misleading students to grab the wrong college. Anyway, if you choose science and want to come to these government universities then rub your head on the pages of these books for three years of your senior high school or +2 or 11th and 12th.
