College life at NIT kurukshetra

I chose civil engg. Since it has many opportunities both in govt. And private sector. And being in this field I get free time for other side hustle/to enhance any skill.the student to faculty ratio is quite appreciating since we have diff. Proff. For diff. Sections i.e . Civil A and civil B. All the faculty members are very well qualified and had published various research papers and hold various projects and patents and they teach in modern style like using a projector and PPT etc. While some of them use traditional style of teaching. The exams are held like we have 2 midsem for each semester and them end sem exams and they are not very difficult for those who are good listeners in class and study during exam days.

Students are eligible from 7th semester for placements .Companies like Microsoft, L and T, TCS etc. come for placement offers.The no. Of offers made are more than no. Of students sit for placements for some branches life CS or IT. And 100% of students are placed in CS or IT department and 75-80% of students are placed in electronics and communication and electrical department and 50-70% students are placed in civil, mechanical department.highest package offered was 1.23 Cr. From electrical department and average package is 12lakhs .My plans after degree will be likely to work as a govt. Official or higher studies.

Fees structure is quite affordable and there is no fee hike policy etc. and college offers various fee waiver like from 1to five lakhs family income 2/3 of entire fee is waived and for students with family income less than 1 lakhs entire tuition fee waiver is given .Students can choose various scholarships offered by college like NSP and merit scholarship etc. And other private scholarships also.

College comprises of many hideouts like NIT lake,PMC and have a lush green campus.Life at NIT kurukshetra is okayish and near to city area and bharam sarovar etc. College hosts a techfest in a year "Techspardha" likely in feb. and a cultural fest "Confluence" in nov. Library is decent with course books and some other books and novels .One good thing is that it has a CCN lab which is open till midnight with fully AC spaces and computers.Library is open 24×7.Classrooms are well furnished with digital boards and fully AC classrooms.The sports section is very much satisfying with almost every game along with a swimming pool and the faculty members are very well supportive and various extra curricular activities are held like citius(sports competitions) and heckathon etc. Institute provide various clubs and societies like IIC,Shiksha, Infrastructure etc.

The hostels are the best part of this college as we can life a dream hostel Life in these hostels .Rooms are very spacious along with furniture life bed ,chair , cupboard and fan .Mess facilities are nice except some hostels which includes diff. Meals daily like kheer, chole bhature ,pav bhaji etc. Along with sabji-roti registration process is simple and hostels are quite affordable and the staff is also very nice and the common room comprises each and every facility life led TV cooler TT table etc. Registration process is online and can be accessed through college website and also through hostel notice board.

For admission in NIT kurukshetra, Btech course I had cleared jee mains with 91%ile and currently persuing civil engg. .I got admitted since I availed home state quota and obc reservation. Application form and other details are available at NTA official website.one thing which can be improved is that the dates of csab round should be prior than last dates of admission to state technological institutes
