Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I am very passionate about electrical and electronic instruments. The faculty in Nit Calicut is very friendly in nature and very helpful. Almost all faculty have Ph.D. degrees from one of the best institutes in India and also from the world. In the classroom, 1:35 faculty and students ratio. The teaching style of the faculty is very good as compared to other NITs. In a semester one mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam will happen and some class tests also happened.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 98000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities in the NIT Calicut is good for Circuital Branch Student. CSE students have wonderful opportunities to grab the internship easily. For an internship, you should have good knowledge of the DSA and have a good project.

Placement Experience

The placement percentage of the overall branch is 89.54%. For Computer Science students, Electrical and Electronics students are almost 100%. The average placement of the CSE is 25.63 Lpa, ECE is 19.62 Lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is less because of the centrally funded institute. The tution fee varies on the basis of the annual income of the family. income less than 1 lakh: 29k per year, income 1 to 5 lakh: 98k per year, income more than 5lakh: 1.98 lakh per year. The college also provides Scholarships on the basis of income and Caste.

Campus Life

The annual cultural fest of NIt Calicut is Ragam which is held in March in the memories of one of the best seniors of the college. The tech fest is held in October usually. The tech fest is one of the best tech fest in South India. The availability of books in the library is too much for each student and each department of engineering also has its separate library. There are many clubs which are run by the students of the college.

Hostel Facilities

There are 11 hostels in the Nit Calicut. First-year student hostels A and B are alloted and have 4 shared rooms. For second and third-year students MHB II is alloted its having double sharing occupancy. The food served in the mess is good sometimes but worse almost daily. Only one mess is pure North Indian mess.

Admission

I got NIT Calicut based on my Jee mains ran. I selected EEE of the Nit Calicut because my rank is 17k in 2022. To get into an NIT you should clear the Jee Mains and get a good rank in this entrance exam. For Counselling, fill out the form of the JOSSA counseling.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
