Course Curriculum Overview
I chose political science because I love the subject. The faculty of my college is one of the best in Delhi University. The curriculum is based on the New Education Policy 2020. Hence there are many benefits, we study many skill-based papers and Value-added papers. The best thing is, after completing your research you can do a doctorate without doing a master's.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Tcs, byjus, Upgrade, NIIT, L&T, HP, teachforindia, etc. visited the college. The highest package is 23 Lakh per annum and the average salary is 4.90 Lakh per annum. Colleges and universities also provide internships within the campus.
Placement Experience
An interesting fact is most of the students do not have an on-campus placement. Most of the Student students go for government examinations and higher studies. But still, there is a placement and internship cell that looks into the matter. The average package is 490000 per annum which is a decent amount.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is based on the courses. For BA Hons. Political science is around 14000 per annum, which is quite affordable as per the facilities they provide. The college provides internship opportunities within the college administration as well as in many other sectors. There is a particular cell, that looks into Internships and Placement opportunities. The college itself provides Financial assistance. Students can apply for national and state scholarships as well. The college administration is quite supportive in case of the need for any documents or authorization.
Campus Life
Priyadarshani, the annual fest of Dyal Singh College is quite famous. Participants come from different colleges for the fest. Almost all academic and non-academic books are available in the library. You can issue books or you can study in an air-conditioned library. All modern appliances are there in the classroom. There are basketball courts, sports grounds, and NCC grounds and you can issue many sports equipment and play. There are more than 30 clubs/ societies in the college. Society for Photography and Filmmaking, theater, Indian as well as Western Music and Dance Society, Dramatics Society, NCC, nss, Quiz Society, and many more.
