Pros and Cons of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (Morning), Delhi University

I had a keen interest in Economics (theoritic). So i opted for it. Faculties of Delhi University are exceptionally good except few. They are very well qualified to get into teaching of Delhi University as professor. Each semester takes a gap of 4 months and as far as difficulty level of economics is concerned if you have an only interest in economics (theoritic) then you should think once before opting for this course since including more than 50% of syllabus just only and difficult maths. If you had chosen this and finding difficulty then buy an online course for the same and be consistent for atleast 2 hrs in a day then you can easily sail through this with a good score.

Not having a good idea about it but prominent companies come and give internship and placement opportunities in the field of data analysis and tally kind of profiles etc. Training and development of skills should be built in you by yourself to become a good set for the internship and placement opportunities.

The placement cell is a bit less active but enough to let us know updates about the companies. Companies like KPMG, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs are prominent companies that visit the college. Eligibility is after you pass your 4th-semester exams. The highest package of our college ever was 22 lpa and the average is 4-5 lpa. Almost 60% of Commerce, Economics and English department students get placed.

Fees are nominal and till now we have not seen a jump in the same. The college also provides some scholarship opportunities, particularly for backward and brighter students. Wide scope of job opportunities in this college but the placement cell is a bit less active.

The annual fest is not organised in this college for a few years. The library of this college is 2nd largest in Delhi University with a diversity of books. The classroom has proper windows, lights, fans and a whiteboard. Wide opportunities for extracurricular and sports activities in college such as cricket, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, chess, dance and many more. There are some social groups that are run by students.

The entrance exam conducted in the year 2022 was CUET. Eligibility for B.A. Hons. Economics in Delhi University is 12th pass,12th with maths(compulsory), domain of subjects selected for examination should be 4 or more and must include English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The application forms is available on cuet.samarth.ac.in. Application fees revolve around rs.100. If you are opting for OBC reservation benefits then some specific documents mentioned there must be provided. During the day kf examination, a tragedy took place with many students that their exam centre at the very end moment got changed to different examination centre, this flaw should me rectified.
