What Students Say
Likes
- Faculty, college life, camous life everything is good.
- It's in the north campus so obviously no problems of transportation. Metro, bus, rickshaw everything is easily available
- Food and beverages stalls are right outside of our college. The food is served at affordable rates and tastes way better than college canteen food. Nestle and Amul Outlet is also present in college so yes.. It's good enough.
Dislikes
- Throughout the three years, we have faced infrastructure related problems. The college building is still under construction. Classrooms need to be maintained in a better way.
- Although new classrooms have been constructed, yet it a very long way to go.
- The library is good enough but the number of books is not very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the teachers are good. It being a women college, the majority is of female teachers. Most of the teachers are the ones with their Phd and the remaining are assistant professors. Because of covid, the semesters are still suffering. Some semesters are of just 4 months and in the 5th month we have to give our exams. But I must say teachers manage to complete the entire syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Internships at Jaro education, and many many more were available in our third year. The average stipend was around 10k. University level internships are also provided and you can easily enroll in it. Community groups are formed in whtsapp which help in easy flow of information.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of our college is named Vriddhi. And the placement opportunities are average. Once you step in your 3rd year, the placement process begins. Lot many companies come, some with average expectations others with so high expectations that it really does happen that they go without any placements. At the end it's like the college offers you placement opportunities, rest everything depends upon your abilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
On an average the fees is 20k. This year it has been raised, can't understand the logic behind it but it has for all the years. The college has hostel facilities (which is very rare in DU colleges). Hostel costs around 1.7 lakh (I know it's huge) but still it's better than living in pgs.
Campus Life
Ohh.. The college life at DRC is good enough. Being surrounded by girls may piss you off at times but ultimately you'll get used to it. The atmosphere is quite healthy. People are helpful but the thing is you obviously have to ask for it. I loved the college atmosphere. The Diwali fest of DRC is hell famous and Manjari is the most awaited fest.
Admission
The entrance was on the basis of 12th score. I scored 98% and got admission in first round. If you don't get the college you want in first round, there are many rounds. Take whatever college you are getting in Round 1,then later when other cut offs release you can update.
