Likes

Hostel facilities are better than other private colleges
Sport facilities and activites are very good here
The faculty here are well qualified and have phd from IIT AND NIT

Dislikes

Fee is being hiked every year which is not a good thing
The hostel in time is 8pm which is less comparitively

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is very good and qualified. The gender ratio is very good. There many professors with PhD from IIT and they teach very proficiently. Mid sem exams were held in september 2023 the paper was moderately difficult.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are great here in Tiet good companies are visiting every year. Like JP Morgan Goldman Sachs etc There are opportunities research internships in institutes like IIT

Fees and Financial Aid

The feed hike per year is 15 percent for the tution fees. There are scholarships based on merit in exams performed example class 12th boards and Joint entrance examinations The average cost for a btech degree is about 24 lakhs for 4 years.

Campus Life

Annual fest - saturnalia annual fest 2-Thapar food festival And there are more fests like society fest etc There are websites like myherupa Misc timetable etc made by students. The sports facility is also good here.

Admission

Admission is through boards and Jee. Jee's cutoff for Coe was 95 percentile and the board cutoff for Coe was 95 percentage. 50 per cent of seats are reserved for Punjab state students and the rest 50 per cent, for other state students.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

All about my college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

From the 6 semester you will be eligible for the placement drive. Many companies visited LPU for recruitment and some of them are MNCs also The highest package is 1 crore from my batch and average is 7LPA. Around 90 to 95 % get placed.

Good College, Placement and Great Infrastructure and Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

From four semester we start getting internships from various companies depending on student skills ,but regularly in 6th/7th sem we can ppo's pre-placement offer In cs department students are enjoying an average annual package of 17LAKH while in EC department, students are enjoying an average annual package of 13.5LAKH IN CS DEPARTMENT the placement percentage is nearly 91% while in ECE department placement percentage is nearly 97%

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. The addimission was on the basis of JEE result and for COE branch the cutoff was approx 83 with punjab state quota. There is no exam for it just an form to be filled....Read More

inside campus walls

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
