An uprising gem in 2nd gen IITs

I was interested in machine learning, data structure, mathematics and computer science combined all of these. Another reason is that the placement of computer science is always the highest among all other courses. Faculties are okay you have to study most of the part by yourself because profs dont get enough time to explain everything in detail and most of the profs are bad at explaining. You will be referred to books by prof or you can use Wikipedia and other websites or videos on YouTube. You will be getting assignments regularly and they will be discussed regularly. The frequency of examination depends on the prof. but on average in each semester 2 quizzes, 1 mid sem examination and 1 end sem examination are conducted. It's really easy to pass the exams just study for 2 or 3 days before examination, but to get good grades you will have to study regularly for the whole semester.

Companies such as Samsung, google, and microsoft frequently visit our campus to provide internship opportunities for different roles such as SDE junior, analyst, product manager etc. There are also various opportunities for core and non core internship.

Placements are one of the best aspects of our college as per our data the overall average package in 2023 was about 23.6LPA. this is comparable to most of the first-generation IITs. The internship opportunities are versatile here there are both domestic and international opportunities ample in amount. companies such as Google, microsoft visit our campus frequently for job and internship opportunities.

Tution fee is about 1,33,000 per sem, the hostel fee is about 14000 per sem and the mess fee is 20000 per sem so the total fee for one sem is about 1,67,000 (I have included the caution money too so the portion is refundable). I haven't heard about scholarships for boys here but girls do get a lot of opportunities for scholarships. The placements here are really good. the previous year(2022) the average package was close to 29LPA and for Computer Science the average package was close to 40LPA. This year the average package was about 23.06LPA and for Computer Science it was about 33LPA. By looking at the package you can see that it's worth it to be admitted to this college.

Campus life is not as expected but it's good. The best thing about IIT Patna is that seniors are supportive, ragging is strictly prohibited here. So the senior junior connection is really good here. Fests are regularly conducted here. The annual cultural fest of IIT Patna is Anwesha and it is conducted in January. You will find most of the required books in our library. A new central library is also being constructed which is much larger than the current one. There are many clubs here CULTURAL -: Music Club (Aria), Dance Club (Exousia), Litrary Club (Syahi), HOOT, Phostography Club (Pixxel) etc. TECH -: Robotics and Aviation, Tinkerers lab, NJACK etc. I have only stated some of the clubs but there are many more. Sports facilities are really good there is a football ground, cricket ground, table tennis, squash court, badminton court, lawn tennis court etc.

Hostel rooms are good but the mess food is really bad here in first year hostels. Mess food is better in senior hostel(Aryabhatta). Special items are limited such as sweets , paneer(80gm) , chicken etc. Registration for hostel is done in offline mode while registring for your particular course. Lacundry facilities are not good as there are only 3 washing machine for 600 students as of now.

To get admission into iit patna or any iit first you must qualify jee manis and then you must qualify jee advanced and get a decent rank. for computer science the opening rank (general category) in 2023 was 1627 and the closing rank was 2811 so you must be getting a rank between 2k to 3k. you get reservation benefits in all iits as iits are goverment colleges.
