Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest. The student-to-faculty ratio is very good. The faculty here is highly qualified from top institutes in India. The exams are held very frequently here which helps in the development of a person.
Internships Opportunities
The companies like microsoft offer internships here. The internship was around 6 lpa. There were many other companies which offered internships here with a very good stipend. There were many projects I did during 7 and 8 sem
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement after 6 sem. There are a lot of companies that visited the campus like Google microsoft jane street ola uber hero. The highest package is 2 cr and the average package is 21L. More than 80 per cent of students get placed. I plan to get a job in a good company after I get the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very affordable as compared to different colleges all over India. The total cost of the degree comes around to 800000. Also, there are a lot of scholarships available inside IIT which will help with financial assistance. The opportunity for jobs is very high here as a company such as Google, microsoft, janestreert comes here for placement
Campus Life
The annual fest here is Alcharienga North east biggest cultural fest held in Feb month. The technical fest is called Techniche held in the month of september. Every single book needed is available in the library. There is a lot of opportunity for sports and extra circular activities like spirit spardha inter iit. There are a lot of cultural clubs like Cadence Octave and many more
Hostel Facilities
The hostel here are in average condition. The meal provided here is good as compared to other hostels. There is no facility exxcept for a bed a almirah available inside the room. The registration process is easy and the hostel is affordable.
Admission
The Admission process was very smooth. Admissions in IIT is through JEE ( adv.). You can apply for JEE (adv) if you clear JEE mains cutoff which is about 90 percentile for general. The cutoff for my course was a 4754 rank in JEE Advance for general for more cutoff information you can visit Jee website.

IIT Guwahati is far more better college than VIT. It provides with a lot of opportunities
