Life at DIT University

The overall review for the college is that it is a really good place to learn and grow. Opportunities are given but you have to be open to them. It provides you with great exposure but you too must work hard to achieve your goals.

I appeared for IIT JEE and scored very less about 65 marks but i had good percentage in 12th cbse 85.4% . I got admission through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) in and i choose the course because i was interested in computer technology and the college had good reviews than others colleges available around.

The course curriculum is good and is changing according to the changing trends in the technology. As far as research is concerned focus is given on research and is improving ,but there is still a lack of guidance and opportunities in research field.

No , college doesn't provide internship as yet. They have started providing internship opportunities by guiding and directing students about how to find internships.

There are plenty of placement opportunities for the students to get placed with brands like infosys , wipro , cognizant , Tricon infotech pvt ltd , Smart joules and many more. College also conducts exams like AMCAT and Cocubes for students through which they can apply for jobs available and scored obtained by the students. Almost 65% students got placed and placement opportunity for those not placed continues till june-july.

Our college celebrates and yearly function (FEST) which is called youthopia which is a three day event and includes a lot of co curricular activities like dancing , games , competitions and many more things organised by students. We also have an yearly sports fest which is called sphurti . Which includes lots of games and its a really energetic event.

The fee structure of DIT University is a little high ,but being a private college its feasible then the other colleges around. The per semester fees is nearly 90000-95000 approx. which includes tuition fee etc. The fees can be submitted yearly or per semester.

Scholarships are provided to the top three students who are toppers of their particular branches. The Scholarship is provided everyday year to three of the top scorers in each branch.

Campus life is vibrant, there are lot of activities and events that take place . One can indulge in various clubs like writers club , poetry club , Computer Science Society and many more.Gender ratio is also good around 40 girls:60 boys. There is also a no ragging policy in the college and discipline communities are present to keep an eye on that.

The hostel facilities are really good. The rooms are well furnished and have attached washrooms . There are single seaters as well as double seaters. Regular cleaning is done by the sweepers and mess food is also very good . Fruit is provided everyday with the lunch and desert with dinner. In the morning milk ,tea and a different meal everyday in the week.

The Senior Students are helpful and help the juniors when approached by them. They also guide you about how to do good in academics and all around.

Exams are conducted regularly. In a semester we have a mid term examination , an internal lab practical and external lab practical and lastly final examination .The Lab sessions are frequent but not very hectic and you get time to relax and complete other work.

I got the admission through the central counseling of Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) which provides a list of colleges to apply in based on the score and overall rank. After selecting DIT as an option when finally i was alloted the college the admission process took just few documents like marksheets of 10th , 12th and migration certificate etc.

Faculty in the college are well qualified and some faculty members are have a really good command of their subjects and guide really well in case of any doubts and suggestions. Faculties teach their subjects with interest and are atleast Mtech or phd qualified.
