Remarks

The admission is through jee-mains. To secure admission to the institute one has to qualify for jee-mains. Reservations benefits will be there for the eligible people. Some students avail of scholarships from the central government. No need for any improvements in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are well educated. They have done their Ph. Ds in various IITs. They complete their studies in popular colleges like NITs and IITs. Some teachers teach on board, some teach with projectors. The entire faculty teaches in an easy way. The student's faculty ratio is 30:1. Term exams are very easy.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities will be provided by the institute during the placement season. Some of the students got internships at Amazon. Some of the students got internships at Microsoft. The internships mentioned above are on-campus as well as off-campus.

Placement Experience

The placements are good. The institute has its own placement cell and it is active throughout the academic year. The average package offered for CSE students is 17 lakhs, and for ECE students is 11 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The institute fee per semester is 125000 Rs. The hostel fee for accommodation per semester is 12500 Rs. The mess fee per month is Rs 4000. Some banks provide financial assistance to the students who are in need.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Yuvaan. The annual tech fest is entropy. The institute library has a limited number of books. The clubs run by students are sports club, cultural club, photography club, tarang club, fine arts club. The classrooms are equipped with ACs.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

Review of the college in north east

This college has a good curriculum and also great for going to research side I preferred this over the others I applied because the others had no permanent campus and were very far from home moreover some do not have good research programs .I preferred this college over IIIT pune IIIT kota and vit which gave me a confirmed admission.i got rejected from a few colleges like mnit allahabad IIIT lucknow and IIIT Allahabad because I did not reach its cut off ranks .the admission process is quite simple in my college it is done through jossa councelling of jee .u can get admission through jee mains it is the most preferred exam by the students and for cse branch u have to get above 20000 rank and for ece above 430000 this is for general male...Read More
