- Professors are not good enough, I personaly do not understand what they are teaching in the class.
Course Curriculum Overview
The first semester includes courses like Engineering drawing, General electronics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, etc. Classes are held regularly and professors always attend classes. Regular quizzes take place before midsem and end-sem exams.
Internships Opportunities
Many internship offers are provided in the college. Companies like Flipkart, Amazon, and TCS provide internship opportunities. Through internships, these companies also provide pre-placement offers to many students.
Placement Experience
So many companies come to the college to hire students. Huge MNCs like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman and sacs, etc are the companies that come to provide placements. Campus placements have records of packages up to 1 cr per annum. Excellent placement opportunities are provided.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees are one lakh per semester for general students. For SC SC students tuition is provided free of cost. Hostel and mess fee is 25100 per semester and fees include other things like brotherhood fund, college fees, etc. There are many scholarship opportunities and the college authority provides information about all the possible scholarships that students can avail.
Campus Life
The campus is so huge with lakes and greenery. The campus has every possible facility like hospitals, food stalls, stationery shops, etc. IIT Guwahati has a swimming pool free for everyone. We have cricket grounds, volleyball courts, hockey grounds, football grounds and other sports facilities. Seniors are good and we enjoy a beautiful social life here.
Admission
We get a chance to study in this college through the joint entrance exam. Once you qualify for the JEE advanced you will have to make choices of what college and what program you prefer to study. Based on your rank you will be given a college. Once you confirm your seat in the particular college your admission will take place automatically. the college will contact you through email and inform you about the joining date. On the day of joining a small document verification process will take place you will be assigned a hostel and that's how easy it is.
