Course Curriculum Overview
1.I choose this course because I want to be a civil engineer and NIT Silchar is among those colleges where you get a good exposure and get good technical skills. 2. student ratio is 3:1 3.qualification of the faculty is they are all phd holder in there respective field. 4. To pass the exam its not hard but score good is really tough in my college.
Internships Opportunities
amazon , Microsoft, tata many companies offer internship during internship season. You can easily earn 20-30 k on an average by doing internship. You can make clones of many websites, make unique apps etc and attach with your cv.
Placement Experience
College placement starts from 4th year ie. 7th semester. Many companies like like amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, almost every top companies come in our college. almost 95 -98 percent cse student placed . and 75-80% student placed fr civil branch. Last year 70 L CTC offered by a company (off campus) off the record.and the lowest is 3-4 lpa. Amazon offers 30 lpa approx. Microsoft 42 lpa. My plane is getting after degree is to start a startup.
Fees and Financial Aid
1. The college fee is not too much it is affordable. its around 3-4 lpa for 4 years whose family income is less than 1lpa and also for sc st people. 2.you can get scholarship from NSP portal. if you have more than 7.5 cgpa then you definitely get a good job very easily.
Campus Life
The annual fest of NIT Silchar is too good it called incendescene. And tech fest is called technosist. NIT Silchar is also famous for its library. it has Asia's Biggest digital library. And you can get easily any type of books. classroom is also good. I am not a sports type person but if you love sports then you also have many options to play. and Inter NIT compitition is alo happen here. there are many clubs in our college one of them is robotics club, Google development club, photography club, singing, dancing, sports almost every type of club here
Hostel Facilities
Hostel room is Ok Ok. there is a single, double and triple sharing room. according to your rank you get it. The mess food is not bad at all. You can easily eat. Hostel registration is starts after admission is done. for 1st year student hostel 3 and Aryabhatta hostel is provided for boys. and the hostel fee is 22500. you can also rent room outside the campus around 2-3 thousand per month. but i will not recommend
Admission
1. Eligibility of the course is, you should crack jee main entrance exam then you are eligible for this course. 2.You can find application form at NTA official website. and application form date is not fixed it varies. But its start almost 1month before the exam held. Maximum time exam was conducted in jan or feb.So you should touch with NTA website. 3.for obc you can get admission in less 3-4 pecentile compared to general. And for Sc ST it becomes more low. In my college if you are obc and you have homestate quota, you can get admission at 85 percentile in civil. if you want cse then it will be 93-94 percentile. For SC ST its more easier to get admission in respective branch. One thing I want to highlight that for obc and ews its almost similar in case of percentile. For otherstate it is a little bit higher. You can get exact information in any websites or NTA also released the required rank for the college admission. 4. Online admission process is Not bad at all.
