NIT kurukshetra: Knowing the Unknowns.

I was interested in entrepreneurship. The college also provides many opportunities. The average package and Placement percentage of my department was also very good last year. It's good each and every student finds interaction with faculty. Some are PhD research fellows and some are very highly qualified and experienced. There are three main exams in a semester like mid mid-sem-1,mid-sem 2, and end sem. I find if you study well before the exam you can easily get good grades.

I don't know much about the internships and stipend stuff as I am a fresher student. It must be better told by the seniors but I can assure you that the opportunities are there and one can easily grab them. By hard work.

Students from 5th semester and onwards are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Samsung, HCL, Dell, Deloitte, etc visited. There were around 400 offers were made. Around 78-80% of students were placed among all branches. After getting my degree I want a stable job with a good package.

Although It is a Government college and students get admission after clearing a cutthroat competition the high institute fee gets their and their family morale down. They have to go after scholarships and education loans after getting admission. There are some scholarships provided by the alumni of the college like RECK scholarships and many general scholarships you can apply.

There are many small events, But a big event takes place every year named confluence in which at least one famous celebrity comes, and many other exciting things happen. Our Library is very vast there are books of almost every genre and many documentaries. There is not much stuff to make the classroom comfortable there are wooden benches and ACs that's it. There is a huge sports complex and a big swimming pool. Sports is compulsory here. There are many WhatsApp and Telegram groups for notes, events, and other information sharing run by students.

Rooms are okay for 1st year but onwards the rooms are quite good. One can find A bed, study table and chair, and a cupboard in his/her room. Fans and tube lights are also installed accordingly. Meal quality is good, and the menu is also good. After getting the admission letter one can register for the hostel by paying the fee of 40,500. Which is not affordable for everyone. I opted for the hostel as it is mandatory to pay the hostel fee.

You first have to Clear the JEE mains exam. It is conducted by NTA. One can check the application form, application fees, and application dates on their official website. Since I am an open(general) candidate I didn't get any caste or category reservation, but I got a home state quota since I am a resident of Haryana. Overall admission process was smooth. But they demand a hafty amount(76000) during online counseling which is very high. Physical reporting is too time-consuming.
