What Students Say
Likes
- The campus is big enough with all the required facilities and is one of the top universities in the country
- The placements are excellent and almost more the 80 percent of the students are placed in good companies
- The faculties are experienced and most of the around 90 percent are PhD holders.
Dislikes
- The most obvious thing is the food quality. It is not at all worth for the paid mess fee. The have to improve a lot.
- The hostel is of average quality woth all the basic amenities. It would be better of they improve it a bit
- The campus is located outside the city which is a big disadvantage. If your a day scholar it would consume a plenty of time to travel
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because of its rising demand and I know its worth of it. Here is the faculty: student is about 1:14 which is actually not bad. Almost 95 percent of teachers here are Ph.D. holders and they have adequate experience. The term exams are moderate. I would say that it is neither easy nor hard. It depends on the individual. It's not that difficult to pass the examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure depends on your slab. Here we have four slabs. For CSE it starts from 1,60,000 and goes on to 3,50,000 which is reasonable compared to the other reputed universities. The also follows another policy that if you do not maintain your CGPA, then your fee slab will move higher, and even if you do well in the upcoming semesters it cannot be reversed.
Campus Life
We have a national-level tech fest every year in the month of March named Vidyut which is very popular. And again it is all organised and conducted by the students. We have many technical and non-technical workshops which are worth attending. The library is big sufficient enough for the strength of the whole campus. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and all the necessary things. The labs are equipped with the latest computers with the latest software installed in them. We do have many extracurricular activities and many clubs which are managed by the students.
Admission
The minimum eligibility was to score 60 percent in your 12th boards and of course, we have a separate entrance exam to get into the university. The entrance examination will happen twice and the best of the two will be selected. You can also use your JEE mains score. You can find the application form on the university's official website amrita.edu. And all the other details will be updated there.
Other Applied Colleges
Lovely Professional University - [LPU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
I feel that Amrita is better than the other colleges
