The best in Pune , though a bit strict.

The college is small but great. The placements and staff over here are great but there is small problem of attendance . You need to strictly keep your attendance above over 75% both in theory and practicals . So that's a little bummer. But overall I would suggest that it is the best college in Pune for engineering.

IIT-JEE mains and MHTCET are the entrance exams that I took. I scored 154 in CET and got Computer Engineering branch over here. If you get above 160 to be on safer side , you could get any branch you want . I opted for this particular college because it has the best reputation in Pune , the packages over are pretty good.I particularly choose Computer engineering branch because that's what I was interested in and PICT has the best to offer in teaching .

The college offers only three courses here i.e., Computer engineering, IT and Electronics & telecommunication engineering. I don't know how the teaching is yet for the proper engineering because I am in first year engineering but from what I have heard the courses offered are good and yes they are the focus on research too. Practical work is taken on for exposing students to the real world problem and not just the theory ones.

The college does allow for internships if your score is good enough . One of my friend got internship offer at IIT-B for Open source programming and his stipend is Rs.10,000 a month for 2 months . Stipend differs from company to company . Score good marks in exams and you will be allowed to do internships .

The placements are the best you could get in Pune with an average package of 8.32 lakhs/yr going as high as up to 30 lakhs per annum. The job opportunities are great. Companies like IBM, Rakuten, Nvidia, Infosys etc come here for placements. Last year more than 15 students got job offer of 12+ lakhs/yr from various companies.

The college celebrates many events. We have our biggest technical event called " Credenz" for which many students from different colleges come to participate in events like ROBOWARS etc. Cultural events are also organized. Sports event are much fun to participate in .

The college fees ranges about 90k to 1 lakh /yr for open category students. This differ for others. The hostel fees is 1 lakh per year including the mess. I would prefer to take outside hostel as they are comparatively less expensive and are very much flexible about the timings.

The college offers the scholarship. I didn't opt for any, so for more information, you could go to the student corner in the college and inquire about the same.

The campus is small but that what makes it more sweet. We get to know everyone in the college and the junior-senior interaction is good . We get to learn a lot from the seniors. Many extracurricular activities are organized in the college . You get to chose to participate in different clubs like Art Cirlce, Robotics Club, IEEE etc.

The hostel facilities are damn good. Wi-Fi is provided, 24/7 running water and electricity with a generator to back up in case. The mess food is good as every other college. There is no single room, each room has 2 students in it. The cost is 1 lakh /yr.

The senior students over here are very much supportive and will give you advice on how to get on with studies in the college and also sometimes some life advice. So it's pretty cool.

The college comes under Pune University so speaking for the first year students we got three university exams in each semester and also three college exams each semester. The first two exams are online comprising of 25 marks each and the last one is theory exam for 50 marks. Every month we have our exams but it was chilled out. Exams get over so quickly that you won't even notice.

I got admission on the basis of CET score. I scored 154 marks in it. The basic process is to fill the dtemaharashtra form after the results are displayed . You need to submit the details such as the college that you want and the branch too. Make sure to check for the second shift branches too. Many forget to check for second shift branches , not all college offers it but many do. PICT does offer second shift branch for Computer engineering and ENTC. You need to fill the dte form priority wise . Once the result is out you have to take print out of the result and then come over to PICT for admissions . When you come to college make sure you check for the timings in advance . Do ask them for the college fees and the amount for the demand draft . I would suggest to ask this first and make a Demand Draft of the same amount in advance so as to make the process smooth . There is a SBI bank nearby where you could do the same . After that the process is easy and you just got to fill some forms . And yes don't forget to carry all your documents like Aadhar Card , 10th and 12 th class report card , your JEE and CET score etc . Also make sure to carry 2-3 xerox copies for the same . You don't want to miss this .

The college faculty is very much qualified. Many of them have completed there Ph.D.'s from IIT's. The teacher is very much interested to teach students and they are also supportive. You just need to perform well in exams. If your performance is good they won't restrict you from participating in other activities but if your performance is not that good they may restrict you for the same. But overall the staff is great.
