Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course out of my own interstand I dream of becoming a successful doctor in the future.there are sufficient faculty to take care of students I think. Faculty are highly qualified and their teaching are highly appreciated.exams are quite difficult.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 59650 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is 60k per year with additional charges for books and etc. We get sate scholarship known has ssp but it will not funded on time so students are facing problems.the fees yearly is increasing but scholarship is not able to cover the fees paid there extremely financial issues with students.

Fest as compared to other colleges we have less fest in college because our director is not good suppouter .books availability for students are good.sports day was conducted recently in our college and it was good.clubs we anti ragging society and culture club and literature club etx

Hostel Facilities

Room gives space for members and room is provided with attached bathroom.meals provided in our hostel moderate bot the breakfast is worst.menu is both veg and non veg. Registration details will be provided in college website and we must up to25k per plus additional monthly maintenance for Mess.

Hostel Fee: INR 22500 per year

Admission

I scored 547marks in neet UG and secured the eligibility.there seats reserved for particularly for each caste and religion. Once you get the eligibility you should participate in the state or national council were your seat will alloted for a particular college. After getting the seat in the particular college you should visit college website for further information.

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Mbbs course is one of the high respective course. We want to face many struggles during exams. But in future we will become excellenct doctor. Exams are not that much tough, but still passing marks in mbbs course is 40% (cbme curriculum). Last year it was 50% passing marks. The curriculum is great. It is followed as per RGUHS ( Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) guidelines. There are currently RS4, RS5 and RS6 curriculums. Each curriculum is different in it's own way. The pattern of subjects, exams and NEXT exam has changed as per each year and curriculum.

We have internals once in around 3 months and we have yearly final exams. The average of the three internals is added to the final marks to declare the results. The exams are of average difficulty. Not too difficult to pass.

Placement Experience:

The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.

basically if you choose this college, unlike other newly established institutes, this is rapidly developing and has good projects under development already. an oncology department and central ICU is under construction. most departments already has passed out postgraduates. many students have joined central intitutes for higher studies. plus the environment it is situated is uncomparable to any other institute....Read More

KRIMS Karwar. A beautiful place to become a Healer

I chose this college as per my ranking in neet exam. I could get better colleges but I was mesmerised by beaches the climate and its vicinity to Goa. I applied for colleges like Belagavi Insitute of Medical Science, Hubli KIMS , Bellary VIMS for which the cutoff was high hence in available options chose KRIMS,Karwar disregarding Gulbarga(GIMS), Raichur(RIMS). So eligibility exam for MBBS is offcourse NEET U need less than 7k rank through AIQ. And less than 45k rank for state quota....Read More

Review of Karwar medical college by a random first year student.

MBBS course takes eligibility via a national level exam called neet. The cutoff for my college was all India rank 52000. The application form for the college is provided by the state government of Karnataka for state quota students which is 85 percent. Remaining India quota students take part in mcc national-level counselling. The application fees depend on the quota and reservation categories. I had no reservations so to write the exam I gave 1600 rs. To take part in state counselling it was 500 rs. For me going through the state quota, the info came on the kea official website for neet counselling. People with caste certificate which shows low income and their caste will get benefits based on the caste....Read More
