Course Curriculum Overview
Applied psychology, as the name suggest, is more of practice oriented. Course covers mostly the applicable aspects of psychology, like Counselling Psychology and media Psychology. This was the main reason for me to purue this course. There are very few coed DU colleges that offer applied psychology. The Psychology Dept of this college is very well renowned with great mentors. You wont feel lack of good guidance and support studying here. we have professors like Dr. Mishra and Prof. Navin Kumar sir, who are very well known in the field of Psychology Talkinf about exams, they are of moderate difficulty. Its not that difficult to score some decent 6-7 CGPA in this course (Well it might be subjective :)
Fees and Financial Aid
The College provides great ROI (Being part of DU). You wont be needing any loans or such to pursue your graduation. Yearly fee mostly revolves around 14 to 15 thousand (which can be lower for reserved category). Talking about intersnhips and jobs, you will be required to get a No objection certificate from department to purse and part time internship or job.
Campus Life
College looks beautiful from a distance and Central Park. You will see a lots of Cultural activites and nukkad natak practicies going around the college everyday. Talking about fun activities, Our college hosts lots of socities for virtually every intersts of students (gettinf funds for them is a whole different matter XD). One such society (Cultual Society: Srijan) organises Annual Cultural fest which is super event to be a part of. Apart from it, we have Diwali Fests, Onam Festivals and various mini events every month.
Admission
At my time, when I opted for admission in this college, there wasn't any such entrance exam for this course. All we had to do was to score a decent percentage in class 12th for the course we are targeting. All the details about admissions and the application procedure are mostly up to date on the college and university websites. What I got to know from the fresh admits in our college, the application involves the CUET exam. For the improvement in the examination process, I would like to see an interview process for the selection of students for their respective programs.
