Course Curriculum Overview
For my batch, our college was affiliated with UTU, so the course curriculum was the same as UTU. The faculty members are very supportive and highly qualified. The faculty-to-student ratio is also great for my department. Exams are conducted almost on time, whether it is sessional or term exams.
Internships Opportunities
I landed an internship in the Artificial intelligence and machine learning field at IBM Skillsbuild. It was an online internship without any stipend but I got to learn a lot from great people in the field. We made a project on the AI mental fitness tracker.
Placement Experience
The placement percentage is above 90%. The campus interviews start from the very beginning of the 7th semester. The training and placement cell is very persuasive and helpful. They provide placement training and assistance from the very first year of the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
As compared to other similar private colleges, the fee structure of Haridwar University would be considered very affordable. For our batch, it was Rs 105100 for a year. I got a scholarship of Rs 40000 from the college, based on my board marks.
Campus Life
Our annual fest is called 'Utkarsh'. It takes place on the second of April. It starts with the tech fest followed by the cultural fest and lastly ends with a star night. The sports week takes place at the end of the fall. There are many student clubs for different interests such as arts and crafts, coding and tech, fitness, sports, culture, etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are laced with good facilities. They provide us with laundry facilities, study rooms, common rooms basketball and volleyball courts and much more. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are big wardrobes, beds with mattresses, study tables, and a dustbin for each room. Deluxe rooms have attached toilets and AC/cooler as well.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth and simple. I applied for the college from their website, on the basis of JEE mains and board exams only. There was no other entrance exam. Then I got a call from their counselor who cleared my doubts and secured me a place in. I also received a scholarship of Rs 40000 on the basis of my class XII marks.
