Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum very nice, every day Lab for practice with diceded time, 2 day holiday in a week, No barrier for girls and boys they can do anything together, every Faculty members are Awesome, best Teaching , experienced profecers.

Class Size: 155Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities avilable from 2nd year last semester, with minimum 300000 / year. For Internship condition you have to score good CGPA in your previous semester and you have qualify internship test

Placement Experience

Placement cell is very active and have transparency , 3rd year last semester and 4th year students are eligible for Placements. Also open for internship from college with 2nd year last semester. On Campus; Avg Placement = 1300000/ year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution Fees= 55000/ year, Hostel Fess = 45000/year, Counselling fees = 7000 JOSSA and 4000 for CSAB, Scholarship avilable for OBC, SC, ST and EWS 100% Tution fees off. You can also use Education loan very easily by faculty help.

Campus Life

Most everyone favourite festival is ONAM, very large fresher party in this party every states 3rd and 4th year students performing for its own States curriculum. There are many type of clubs- Acting, Dancing, Football, Cricket,etc

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Facilities are nice and mess food are Awesome, but Hostel environment is little bad, in Mess they cook everyday different food of many type. Hostel fees = 45000 including mess, 4 student can stay in one hostel roo,

Admission

You Have to clear JEE MAIN, and do JOSSA counselling , Cut off- approx 12000 for Outside state Students for CSE and 7000 rank for Kerla Students in Last Round. In JOSSA counselling you have to pay 36000 ruppes for counselling process it will include College fees and after counselling you have to pay 40000 more for admission.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
