Likes

I mainly liked the teachers friendly nature.
I liked the seniors who are really helpful for me in various situations
I also liked the no intime policy in campus.

Dislikes

Some of the incomplete infrastructure developments made me some bad.
Outside the campus the town is not good enough.
The distance between hostels and lecture halls are quite far which makes us a bit difficult to ride cycles in summers.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum is nearly the same as that of other IITs. We were taught the same course in 1st year irrespective of branches. From the second year onwards we were made to start our core subjects. The faculty-to-student ratio is very decent and we will have a mid-semester and end-semester examination in a semister that generally has a nearly two-month gap.

Placement Experience

As it is an IIT the name itself is an assurance that will provide placements. The placement percentage in our campus is quite good with some decent average packages. Students will be made to sit in placements after the seventh semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for our course is 1 lakh rupees per semester. This fee was regulated by the central government and the fee has been constant for the past 5 years. Students who have an annual family income below one lakh have full tution fees remission.

Campus Life

Life on our campus is pretty enjoyable. As it is a second-generation IIT, there are still some infrastructure developments going on. We have 3 fests named Esummit an entrepreneur summit, Wisseiner a tech fest, and a socio-cultural fest called Alma. The library is good, all books are available.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility was quite decent. We have a single room for each student from the first year onwards and there are no in and out times for the hostel. Our mess quality was quite decent and had a menu which is a mixture of both North Indian and South Indian styles.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

I was admitted to this college after cracking the JEE Advanced exams. After JEE results were out I was made to go through josaa a six-round counseling process in which I got into this college. This exam is only for the students who cleared JEE Mains.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

My college experience

I applied for geophysics and mining in ISM Dhanbad. But I filled my current college and branch above them. Also these branches are not very popular among students but as I didn't scored very well in my JEE advance examination, I had very few choices. To get into an IIT you first need to clear JEE mains cutoff and then clear JEE advance.
