Remarks

Overall college life was great but the admin section of college was chaotic since day one .it's continued till our new principal came. While year there was a protest against admin. Also, our principal got suspended due to corruption.

Entrance Preview

I DINT Gave any entrance as RAMJAS college don't conduct any exam for Courses rather it's totally merit based. And my admission was on the basis of my 12 class exam. The reason why CHOOSE this college because of only one reason i.e. THEATRE.As Ramjas has a great achievement record of their ECA.And ""SHUNYA"" The dramatics society of RAMJAS college is one of the top societies of Delhi University. As I wanted to continue my theatre so I took admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Our college follows CBSC I.E CREDIT BASED SCORE SYSTEM to evaluate our academics course. My course has a history of 100 years and this course has been taught in college since it's starting years and our department is one of the oldest department of our college. And the faculty is very experienced and that very friendly that is what I love about college life. The structure has been Student friendly. and I would say there is no tension in attendance. That helped me very much to continue my theatre practice.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the economics department of our college organizes a '' THE INTERNSHIP FAIR'' During fest time and many students get an internship in their interested field. I asked one of my friend about the stipend he said that most of the internship for certificates only. There are paid internships but their no is small. One of my senior got an internship US embassy for a stipend of 10k. That the only paid internship I know

Placement Experience

2

No college doesn't provide any placement for my course. College does have visits of the company but they only provide placement to commerce student. But from this year a new placement cell has been opened by our college. That is really good. This is a precise placement cell that looks at all kinds of placements students want. Even google comes to Ramjas for job opportunities. Many of my friends got jobs in Google, Amazon, SWIGGY etc .To get a job one needs to become the part of Placement cell.

College Events

5

There is a whole new world outside the classroom in RAMJAS college. There was not even a single period of time when you I went to college and I just attended a class and come back home. The whole year is packed with many great events. During the first semester. The initial month is full of farewells and college farewell and then your department farewell. Awesome foods are the major highlights of every fest. Then comes the election fever. What a political benefit a student gets though it's not new to a citizen of India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes, fees for our college is around 10k to 20 k for a year and that is affordable. This includes Tuition fees. Library fees. Parking fees. Department fees.student fund etc. As I said our admin is chaotic and little corrupted the never share the break down of the fee to student .they only show you totally.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I know only a few of them One is for the student whose family income is less than 1 lakhs gets some scholarship. Also, the student who is pursuing some language courses such as Sanskrit gets an annual scholarship of 1500. As our college fees for a year is around 10k to 20k only so there is no need for the student to apply for the loan.

Campus Life

3

Diversity is what RAMJAS college is known for. And I would call it MINI India. RAMJAS college Has That's why our student has the better opinion regarding the current issue and in any interaction, you would get a different exposure different views regarding any topics. If I talk about gender ratio so. There at VISHWA VIDYALAYA METRO station, you will see longer girls. line than boys .also on my college I don't see any discrimination with LGBT guys.

Hostel Facilities

3

Canteen school is pathetic. I cost is high and food quality is poor. Our senior says that previous canteen owner was good. Let's hope that this year the tender is given to better.one. For food, we visit Delhi school of economics and that is great. Half of RAMJAS college will be seen there. Hostel details I don't know but yes same canteen owner provides food to them. And my friend often complaint also.

Alumni/Alumna

As such, there has not been any interaction with our alumni as the college hasn't conducted any alumni meet. But yes in an event MANOJ BAJPAYEE Our college alumni address the student and also many of our faculty members are our college pass outs. Also, my college principal is our alumni. But the current seniors were very friendly and There is rarely any case of Ragging in our college.

Exam Structure

Our college follows CBSC i.e CREDIT BASED SCORE SYSTEM. In that college conduct semester wise evaluation. From July to December our odd semester goes and from January to JUNE even semester.

Admission

The admission was completely on the based on merit . Merit our 12 class marks . Every year in the month of may DELHI UNIVERSITY starts to accept the application for admission in new session . The admission form are available on www.du.ac.in. The applicant has to fill the required details and also upload the images of the required documents their is category for ECA AND sports quotas student for that they had to submit Thier required certificate . The portal is open till first week of June and after that DELHI UNIVERSITY starts to release their cut off . That time they released total 13 cut offs . But Mine admission was taken in the FIRST CUT OFF ONLY . THEN after seeing the cut off we need to go to the college and verify the document . I was a one day process. First a offline college admissions form is filled by your faculty and then they went for verification in administration block . And then finally they gave the fees slip which was required to be paid online at du website. I didn't faced any problem on.online processes but the RAMJAS college admins work was pathetic . They themselves were confused with their process. It was a chaotic one .and could have been better with more organised process.

Faculty

3

Our college believes in proceeding holistic education that goes beyond achieving academic excellence, and vocational training. The faculty is facilities backed by the latest in modern technology and they all are qualified TEACHER And are selected on the basis of entrance and interview. My view I never had a problem studying with the faculty. One of my professors always helped me in my overall intellectual. And faculty teaching method is really great and creative. But yes shortage of faculty is a major concern. Many departments are facing this problem. Many teachers are temporary and which hampers the quality of education some time.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
