Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Mechanical Engineering as I have interest in machines, controlling their movement also I was interested in Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics hence chose this course. One more reason for choosing this course is that CSE is overhyped and I was not at all interested in coding so I wanted a core engineering course. The faculties of this institute are well qualified and helpful also the difficulty of the exam papers varies from faculty to faculty.
Internships Opportunities
The specific projects interns undertake vary depending on the company, department, and individual interests. However, some common outcomes include: Developing and testing software applications: Students gain hands-on experience with coding, debugging, and software development methodologies. Designing and implementing hardware systems: Interns learn about electronics, robotics, and mechanical engineering principles through practical projects. Analyzing and interpreting data: Students develop expertise in data analysis, visualization, and drawing insights from large datasets. Managing projects and collaborating with teams: Interns learn project management skills, teamwork, and communication while working towards a common goal. Benefits of Internships: Internships bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, making students more prepared for the job market.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from 7th semester of their course. Whereas we start getting on-campus internships from 5th semester onwards. Top IT Companies visit the college for non-core placements and for core also several companies including PSUs visit the campus.

From casual chai breaks at the bustling mess hall to late-night study sessions fueled by laughter and camaraderie, friendships bloom across hostels and departments. The campus hosts a plethora of events and festivals, including the annual TechNITion in February, a week-long extravaganza showcasing student innovation in technology and science. Abhiyan, the college's cultural fest held in October, is a riot of music, dance, and drama, celebrating diverse cultures and traditions.
Hostel Facilities
In the first year, 2 hostels are provided for boys and 1 hostel for girls. Boys are kept in double seater rooms in Aryabhatta Hostel and Single seater rooms in BH3 for their 1st year of study and girls in GH3. In 2nd year, Boy's are shifted to 3 hostels where they are asked to live in Double Seater rooms but are forced to adjust with three students in one room as less accomodation is there. And girls are shifted to a single hostel where they have to adjust 4 students in one room. In 3rd year, Boys are shifted to 3 hostels based on their cgpa, H9, H6 and H7, where again the H6 nd H7 students have to adjust 3 people in one room which is double seater and in H9 2 students are kept in a double seater room. In 4th year, Boys get single seater rooms whereas girls still have double seater rooms. The mess food quality is horrible.
