Best yet some glitches

Honestly,I choose this course because it was the best choice I could have got with my jee rank Here , the faculty to students ratio is 1:40 approx Mostly faculty members are highly qualified from reputed institute throughout the country, few also graduated from foreign Teaching method is not good here i think Teacher just came and teach via ppts and stuff And there are 2 exams in one semester One is mid tem and other one is end term Passing them is not so hard but also not that easy

There are a ton of companies coming in old iits , I can't mention all of them But some of them are - Microsoft, google , mastercard , visa , graviton , quantbox etc The these companies offer a good amount of money based on the roles Some of the roles are - software development, product management, consulting, machine learing , quant , finance etc

Students are eligible for internship in 5th semester and for placements in 8th semester Average package is around 18-20 lakhs And highest package is around 1.5-2 crore 80% of students got placement on average I want to do corporate after graduation

Fees is much higher i would say Because iits are among the most reputed government institutions in india, also qualifying for iits is preety tuff , so one who qualified the exam is supposed to pay lesser Here there is opportunities of internships under the professors working on different projects

There are mainly 2 fest one is technical and other one is cultural Technical fest is organised in march every year and its called "Cognizance " Cultural one is called "Thomso" and it is obviously most avaited fest of year and organised every year in October month , and have footfall of 1 lakh plus people There is sports club for almost each sport There is yearly games called inter iit between all iits There are many clubs run by students Almost all clubs in iit roorkee are run by students only Few kf them are uba, sdslabs, infosec, etc

All the students from iit roorkee had to live in hostel itself as there is no other option available Hostel and mess registration process are done along with the admission process itself Mess food is garbage , although iit roorkee mess is considered best among all iits but its still very bad

One can join Indian institution of technology by qualifying jee advanced conducted by different iit every year. Currently there are 23 iits in india but cutoff is high for the old ones like delhi, bombay ,roorkee ,madras etc Each year jee advanced is conducted by nta in may . One could really benefited by reservation , there is no denial in this , i was a obc candidate Reservation mostly affect the sc/st cutoff They could get same branch as a person with 600 rank with 10000 rank. And i think reservation should be ended with time,not at once And i think the admission process is pretty decent, there should be no changes made in it
