Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I want to make my career in journalism and media. One of the major reason of choosing Jamia millia islamia is that it offers one of the best media course throughout the country and has a excellent alumini record There will find very experienced, cooperative and understanding faculty and there is a average student ratio in my class there are 11 girls out of 40 students The exams happens timely here
Placement Experience
The campus placement started in end of 5 semester basically news all types of news company use to come such as ABP, News 18 , NDTV etc Almost all the students who are willing to get a job after graduation got placed but most of the students chooses to do masters
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fees is 7200 in first year in which 500 rupees are security deposit and 200 rupees is for icard and other things and in second and third year you have to pay 6500 annually. You can apply for number of government and private scholarship the famous scholarship that students used to apply is National minority scholarship and Jamia's Ajmi scholarship
Campus Life
There are lots of events which are conducted by department through out the years the famous one is E cell's fest others then that every department has there own fest. In the classroom you will get a chair and table a stage and dice for the lecture and few class has air conditioner too The open mic and other co curriculum activities keep going through out the year There are many clubs in which you can participate such as drama , debate, music ,etc Here you will get all the sports amenities in stadium
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is given on distances and income basis after that you have to pass a interview too. You will get a three bed room , gym , TV room The quality of food in mess is above average you have a option of both veg and non veg Of you are staying outside the university then you can stay in Zakir nagar , batala house, Abul Fazal , new friends colony, masighar area because they are too close to jamia
Admission
To apply in this course you should have qualified intermideat or a equivalent certificate You can get the application form on Jamia's website in the month of March and April. There will be a 100 mark entrance exam in which 40 number MCQ and 60 marks writing
