Remarks

Personally i like this college and find it very interesting. Lot of activities and fun along with studying . The crowd of the college is good too. The main problem of the campus is that infrastructure facilities are not good as other symbi colleges

Entrance Preview

For the B.Com admissions, your 12th standard grades are taken for consideration. I had visited a few other colleges but none of them had the quality and life of this college. A wonderful college where quality education is provided with minimum cost.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In the first year the course curriculum is easy to understand. Most of the concepts are of what you learned in your 12th commerce. The college is autonomous . Apart from the traditional Bcom subjects, the college also provides the option of choosing ACCA classes or liberal courses.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides internships in both direct and indirect sources . A lot of companies or start ups have visited the college regarding internships. I haven't took any internships as of now so i don't know about the stipend or pay.

Placement Experience

4.5

The Placement wing of the college is remarkably good. Most of the famous companies like Deloitte, Google, KPMG are taking part in the placement wing. The average Offer ranges from 4.5-6 lakhs. This Year around 35 of the seniors got placed in good companies. The placements in the college are pretty decent.

College Events

5

There are a lot of events and celebrations in the college. A college is much a happening place. There are flash mobs, dance, poetry, drama or some sort of events happening in the college. The events at the college are very exciting. The events are held on a very large scale. Some of the events do allow outsiders too attend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible compared to other colleges. The fees for my first year was around 25000. I took Business Computing but if you take maths the fees would be around 20000. The fees also include an insurance for your health. The fees for the NRI students are a little different.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed of any loan facility in the college. The college fees is quite low so i dont think that there is a need for any loans. The college provides Scholarships which you can easily access in their website

Campus Life

3

The campus life is very good. The college doesn't have any ragging. Rather all the seniors and juniors are considered equal. The students host some parties which are very exciting and you get to meet a lot of new people. The cultural diversity of the college is good. There are foreigners and a lot of people from different states of India. The college doesn't have a ground but you can use the ground of Pune University.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was not staying in the hostel. The hostels are reserved for the NRI and foreign students. College offers hostels for both boys and girls. The cost of the hostel comes around 160000 including the mess. My friend staying in the hostel enjoys it and says that the facilities are good. The curfew time for hostels is 10 PM.

Alumni/Alumna

On the orientation day you get to meet the alumni of the college . They are very helpful and friendly . The seniors of the college are very kind and helpful . You could always approach them if you need any help.

Exam Structure

The exams are pretty easy and an average student won't find it difficult to write exams. There are only 2 exams in one semester. First, you have MCQ and after that the written exam. After the MCQs, you have to write your assignments too. Basically, the exams aren't much difficult and are very chilled.

Admission

I got the form around the first week of June . I had filled the online form, got selected, and after that went to the college for paying fees of approx. Rs 25000. The admission process was easy and without any hassles. The Students of the college were there to guide us for admissions or any queries .

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college is very good. All the teachers are highly qualified and give a good in-depth study of the subjects. They provide many activities other than the course too. Basically, most of the teachers in the college are Chill. All the teachers are very fluent in both English and Hindi

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
