There are total 420 seats. 120 seats for cs branch ;120 seats for information technology branch ;120 seats for electronics and telecommunications and 60 seats are there for mechanical engineering branch.

The placement percentage every year shoots upto more than 90% with a highest package more than 20 lakhs each year. The placement percentage for 2017 batch was 93 with the highest package clinching at 24 lakhs per annum. The main industries visiting AIT are Microsoft, Reliance, Amazon, Myntra, Adobe, oracle, Barclays, HSBC, Commvault, ION trading, Veritas, Symantec, Deloitte, Mu sigma, ZS associates, KPMG, TCS, Atos, FMC technologies, Bosch, John Deere, PGS etc.

Basically for first year college fees is 3.5 lakhs and for 2 ,3,4 year fees is around 3 lakhs so overall fees for complete degree is going to be around 12-13 lakhs. Yes engineering is quite costly. Also college provides various scholarships to students

AIT is located in the outskirts of Pune City. 13 Km from Pune railway station and 7 Km from Pune airport, lohegaon. Nearest towns are Vishranthwadi and Dighi were most of the commodities are available. The campus is about 30 acres consisting of a Football ground, a Cricket ground, a badminton court, 2 volleyball courts, 2 squash courts, 3 basketball courts, a tennis court and plenty more including pool table. The academic block is divided into different departments and administrative section. BC Joshi hall and Manekshaw hall are the indoor auditoriums and Raman theater is the open auditorium with seating capacity of near about 1000 students. AIT has well equipped labs and fully function library with all students having access to library books and reference materials including journals and paid educational sites. The living conditions in AIT are much better than many of other Engineering colleges. Separate hostels and mess are allotted for boys and girls.

The Hostels are clean with proper electricity and water supplies. The Wi-Fi facility is available in the academic block, hostels and the library building. Attendance in classes are compulsory and minimum of 75% is to be maintained each semester. The clubs in AIT are maintained and controlled by the AIT student Council (Student secretaries) under the guidance of faculty in-charges.The main clubs in AIT are AIT Engg and Technical board, Robotics Club, Cultural board, Sports Club, magazine Board, NSS club, OSS Club, Natures club, Maths Club and Spiritual club. Main events taking place in AIT are Aakriti (inter branch Technical, cultural and sports championship), Solutions (inter college technical fest), Amethyst (inter college cultural fest), PACE(inter college sports fest) and many others.

The admission is dome on the basis of JEE MAINS RANK and percentile. On the bases of that AIT MERIT is made and according to that merit branches are alloted to the students. Cutoff for this year was( more than)<80 percentile.
