Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose Mechanical Engineering because I have a fascination with how things operate, be it a simple clock or be it an aircraft propulsion system. I didnt shoose any specialization courses to maximize my job field. The degree I choose is versatile and can adapt to diverse market. Ther student faculty ratio is decenty enough. The university does provide special groups so that for specific courses the students can be divided into smaller groups for better attention. The teachers, most of them, are well versed on the applications they are engaged in. All of them have done Post Graduation and have a good way to teaching and centering attention of the students. There are four total exams and are of fairly decent difficulty. We recently had the end semester exams of our first semester and had a well reasoned difficulty level.

Placement Experience

3

Students starts looking for jobs and placements from the 5th semester. They start looking out for interships and a couple companies do take tests and all to access the students for jobs and placements. Some companies that have visitied the university are TATA, AMAZON, INFOSYS, ASIAN PAINTS, FLIPKART etcetra. The highest package was around 80LPA and was offered by ATLASSIAN in 2023. The average package offered was around 7LPA. Around 4000 students were placed. And their GPAs ranged from 3.4 to 4 GPA, on a 4 point GPA scale. I plan to look for various roles surrounding machinery and design of locomotives and be well versed in softwares such as Solidworks and Autocad.

Fees and Financial Aid

The price hike was already explained in the original fee structure document ut I believe the terms & Conditions might not be limited to it. The hike is about 6-7% of the pervious semsters. I got a scholarship that covers about 30% of my fees due to my High School certificates. The college, as far as I know, has not provided anyone I know with jobs or Stipends.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest is called Grafest and there are other numerous student conducted prgrams. They are held all year round, a recent one we had was in October, and was themed around Halloween and Harry Potter. The library is well sourced with books available on all genres. The rooms to read in are also spacious and well maintained. The classrooms are well furnished and have slide in projector screens, well ranged speakers and also have sound absorbing walls so that the noise doesnt echo around. The university is well versed in terms of extra cirricular activites, they have indivual courts for sports like Badminton, cricket, volleyball, basketball and numerous other sports that are actively utilized. The are numerous social groups ran by students. Some examples include NCC, NCS,Swaragini, Student Debate club, Photography clubs etcetra.

Admission

The course was applicable for all candidates with about 60+ percentage in CBSE board examinations. They did not have any entrance exam requriements, but did provide scholarship if the student provided their JEE marks. One can access fee structure from geu.ac.in but have to make an offline appointment for a clearer guidance about the course structures. Improvements can be done regarding the course clarity as many students are unable to choose a fitting course themselves.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
