Remarks

From a college management perspective, they are doing a pretty job in managing it! Now if it is about leading it and giving it a vision, probably they could have done better.

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE It was all nonmedical related! I opted Roorkee over Delhi probably because I felt P and I will be a better branch than civil in Delhi! Bombay was ignored by me because it was far and I was not getting a good branch. The admission process was two-stage :1. Screening Exam (Objective in nature) 2. Mains Exam ( Subjective in nature ).

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The Course Curriculum was ok! We were taught many good things but at the end, focus was only on exams and not on learning! From Elective perspective Sociology, Psychology, and Earthquake Disaster management were my courses, A course on Entrepreneurship, a course on team building, and HR should have been included.

Internships Opportunities

For the P & I branch, there were very few companies which offered an internship. I got placed in Maruti with a stipend of 5000 per month but did not join as I wanted to be with my ailing father in Chandigarh! I believe in internship one should be made to do a job of the executive so that the intern should be able to understand how ground-level work is done.

Placement Experience

3.5

Being from IIT, there were many companies with all big names I'm almost every sector! Schlumberger, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, ITC, Lehman Brothers, Citi, L and T, Shell, BG India, Oracle, Delloite, Manhattan, HUL, Dymlar Chrysler, ONGC, NTPC, JP Morgan, Future First. The list goes on. The package was also variable from 3.6 LPA to 36 LPA.

College Events

4

Technical Festival with more than 400 participants across Departments. Teams from foreign countries to participate Thomso : Cultural Fest! A Carnival atmosphere with students all around the nearby states used to come for participation! The nights with stars are amazing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible -25000 approximate per semester was tuition fee with 15000 per semester was hostel fees Fee structure has increased tremendously since we have passed out! For us, it was fine with the facilities we had.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was merit cum means Scholarship, Sura Scholarship, Scholar scholarship! There were loans as well but I never availed it.SBI had a branch inside the campus and hence students had good financial support if required!

Campus Life

4

They were good but the majority of them were voluntary. The quality of the lit sec department was very good, In college, we had a special hobby club for robotics/star gazing / photography/ Dance/dramatics/ Music.

Hostel Facilities

3

Average! We used to wait for certain days to have dishes of our choice. Many times used to avoid mess due to the lack of tasty food! The hostel was fine with pretty decent rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

It can be improved. There are forums but not organized enough to form a strong community! There needs to be one event annually for alumni to interact with kids. I hardly had any interactions with alumni and my seniors!

Faculty

2.5

The faculty was qualified. Since the system was not hard on learning, therefore the majority of students did not gain much from faculty. Very few faculty tried to motivate us and light up the fire in us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.
