Course Curriculum Overview
The reason behind choosing this course is that I have given preperence to the college than the respective branch. Faculty are in the correct ration if we get any doughts they will solve if we approach them in time. The qualification of the faculty is good enough but the teaching is not upto their level. Exams are frequent and conducted suddenly as surprise twsts
Internships Opportunities
Good internships are available in the college. As I am first year student I saw some seniors waiting at the carreer development office. If we work hard from now itself then we will get good placements one senior earned nearly 1 lakh by doing these small projects. His project is making a robot by giving new soft ware to it. Nit Calicut is in higher position in the ranking due to the patents and internship projects.
Fees and Financial Aid
In first year you have to pay more to the college than remaining years. For this you can avail ffe and nsp scholarships for that you can get refund . We are having enough opputunities for availing scholar ship but the process we have to do in the administrative office is more and lengthy process
Campus Life
Life at nit Calicut is not much good expected at the beginning of our college we are having enough to events in the college but remaining big events have been cancelled and postponed later on the time runs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not upto the mark. Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good. When we talk about the meals they are better enough as expected. We have to pay 140 per day in the mess. Some times wwe can't eat in the mess I am staying the b hostel
Admission
The admission process was too long. It has 6 rounds of josaa and fee payment is also taking more time. For every round we have to check for clg and we have to fill the choices correctly in the order. I am eligible for the seat from ews category. We can find the application forms in the josaa website and clg forms from Calicut website. The improvement I have to see from admission process is to do the process fastly and allot respective colleges for the respect students with out waiting their time
