Review of a wonderful college.

I did not exactly choose this course. I got it through JOSAA so I accepted it. The faculty is very good. They are helpful and informative. As the college is in Kerela, there are more Malayalam students. In class, boys to girls ratio is about 3:1, South to North students is about 2:1. Almost all the teaching faculty members are PhD qualified and they have a decent teaching method. Exams are conducted twice a semester. The difficulty is moderate and most of the students can pass without very much difficulty.

The internships start from 2nd year. I don't know much about this as I am in my first year.But I think there are a lot of companies where we can get internship opportunities. Even now we get a lot of mails for internships in different companies.

A variety of companies come for placement to our college. Ater 8th semester, students can apply for placements. I haven't done much research on these matters though, as I am in my 1st year.But as far as i know, the highest salary was 64 lakhs per annum and lowest was 6 lakhs per annum.I plan to try campus placements after getting my degree.

Fee structure is decent enough. The academic fees is about 1.25 lakhs per annum and hostel fees about 65000 per yr. Scholarship facility is very good as they give concession to those with family annual income less than 5 lakhs. As for financial assistance,there are education loans available that can be taken easily by students. For campus jobs, I don't have much information.

Life at campus is peaceful and enjoyable. The campus is filled with greenery and the air is pure. There are mainly two fests conducted every year - Tathva(tech fest) and Ragam(cultural fest) in November and March respectively. Books required for our courses are available in the main library and many journals are also there. Borrowing books is easy as we only need our id card. Classrooms are equipped with the necessary facilities like projector, white board, blackboard,etc. Sports and extra curricular activities are conducted very frequently, like basketball, hockey, football, volleyball, marathons, motivational sessions and many more. Most clubs are run by seniors like robotics club, dance club, music club, etc.

Rooms are provided (4 person room for 1st yrs) with study table, chair, cupboard and a bed for each. Other requirements are to be bought by students. The mess serves fairly good quality food and the menu comprises of a variety of dishes like fish, chicken, potato,sweets, drinks, etc. There is an official hostel app from where all registrations are made with ease. Hostels are affordable with 33000 rupees for mess and rooms for one semester.

I took jee mains entrance exam. The admission was through JOSAA.I got NITC in my last round. I went to college at the required date. The admission process was smooth and the staff were very helpful. I submitted the required documents and got my admission and hostel cards. I come under OBC category hence, I got some benefits in my cutoffs for the college. I would say there is not much to improve, the admission process was already smooth.
