Fests are great over there and I like them the most
Sports activities are great they will train you to inter nit games
Atmosphere is nice with trees and more greenery

Dislikes

Hostel curfew for 1st year students is irritating there
Hostel food . We cannot say it's too bad but for the money we paid it's not worth that's it
Availability of badminton courts are less

Course Curriculum Overview

I just chose this course as I can't get CSE here no other specific reasons . Some faculty are good and some are ok! We can get a grip of subject f and can study in our free time . Some exams are difficult to pass . We have a mid term and an end term exams with some quizzes and assignments.

Placement Experience

From 7 th semester students are eligible for placement . Idk much about placements but average placement salary of our branch in our institute is nearly 1900000. It's great to have average salary greater than 1l per month

Fees and Financial Aid

As I joined recently I don't know much about fee hike . But students can get scholarship in NITC namely NSP scholarship I know about it because one of my friend applied for it . Idk much details about it

Campus Life

Fests are great people say TATHVA and RAGAM are best they are going to held in our next sem so we are going to experience it . Freshers day is one of the best and can't forget about Diwali and Mahagauri They are awesome. There are so many clubs and sports available in here it's going to be a great 4 years ahead .

Hostel Facilities

They provide a desk, a chair, and a shelf, bed in hostel room. Hostel food is not too good not bad as well it's ok to eat . We have an app called NITC Hostel in that we have to opt for a mess and choose for a hostel at the starting of the academic year . In 1st year they will automatically provide a hostel we have no other choice but to stay there.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

I took an entrance exam so called as JEE MAIN and got some good score so I got a seat in this college. You can apply for exam through official website of NTA. Reservation benifits are applicable for OBC, SC , ST and EWS . No improvements needed to see in admission process

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
