It is overall a good girl's college with scope of improvement.

Entrance Preview

No entrance the exam was purely based on merit based on our 12th class boards aggregate percentage. I scored 93% and so got through this college of delhi university .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very good providing knowledge according to my passion.there is very much to learn. Geography is my elective which is quite Interesting

Internships Opportunities

The internship is provided by the college by the societies working for the same but they do not provide any stipend. Students are also allowed to take internships in other colleges.

College Events

The 2-day annual fest of Kamala Nehru College is "Ullas" and is one of the most awaited one. Many small stalls are set up during this.The atmosphere during the fest is full of excitement and very colorful. Students of different colleges attend the festival for it's events. We often have notable personalities attending it too

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is affordable,college being a government institute. Its 8680 INR for my course which does not include the exam fees.The exam fees are also very nominal which keep varying.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college does not provide any loans or scholarships as the fee structure is quite affordable and I didn't avail any.However, the students can avail grants from specific government departments and schemes.

Campus Life

With societies conduction a plethora of activities all through out the year, lively and enthusiatic crowd, and an amazing festival. It gives us ample opportunities to explore our inner talent.

Hostel Facilities

I am residing in a flat with my mother near my college. No hostel facilities. The food is made at my flat which is quite good. However, I've come to know that the PGs are also good enough just a bit costly.

Alumni/Alumna

No such interaction with the alumni till date. The college didn't provide any platform for the same. No seminars or workshops.

Exam Structure

The exams are held frequently specifically the internals making it tiring at the end of the day. It is not at all a chill culture and very hectic.

Faculty

The faculty consists of well experienced teachers. The teachers range from junior to those who have completed PhD in their specific subject.They are well versed with the syllabus and are very cooperative with the students to solve the problems

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
