Campus was very old and it was built in 1960
In nit Calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing I really hatred
In nit Calicut sem exams are very difficult to write

Course Curriculum Overview

My jee rank decides my course tha is the reason why I choose this course Per every teacher there are 30 students approximately Qualification of the faculty is PhD in respective subjects There mid-sem and end-sem with the gap of 50 days In nit Calicut sem exams are very difficult

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 74500 per year

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements Oracle,Microsoft,Bosch, reliance,Google,etc Oracle gives 36 lakhs per annum In case highest package is 56lpa Percentage of students getting placements is 70-80 percent My plan is doing a software job

Fees and Financial Aid

For an general category student the fee is nearly 8-9 lakhs including hostel fee There is scholarship like NSP Sorry iam studying 1st year only But in our mechanical branch highesr package is 36 lakhs and avg package is 9 lakhs

Campus Life

the annual fest is ragam & tech fest is tathva and month in which they are conducted is tathva is in November and ragam is in March Yes, there is Availability of books & journals in the library Amenities in classrooms are projecter and big boards Bench per two students and big class room There are so many sports playing by students in nit Calicut cricket,kabaddi, badminton,tablet tennis, basketball, vollyball,hockey etc. Movie clubs and coding clubs and music club etc

Hostel Facilities

facilities provided in the room are cupboard,fan table per student,chairs ,cart Yeah it's some better than north side Registration Process for Hostel & Affordability. For this there is nitc hostel app

Hostel Fee: INR 33000 per year

Admission

Eligibility of the Course is Jee mains entrance test Application form is available in NTA website It was good only, no improvement i want to see in the admission About reservation benifits, For SC and st people it was low fee structure And so many benifits are there.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. In some higher ranked colleges, I was getting lower-preference branches,so I chose a good branch in a good college instead. Admission is based on the JEE Main score through JoSAA counselling. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
