Course Curriculum Overview
I got this course in csab counseling and I have knowledge about civil engineering so I choosed this course. Faculty is good, they all are well qualified. They have friendly nature with students. There are 50% kerela students and 50% other states. 35% female students also. faculty are really professional with a good experience. In a semester there is one mid sem exam,one end sem exam with internals also
Internships Opportunities
Amazon has provided internship to more than 100 students in our college as a data engineer and web designer. ISRO also provide internship opportunities for our college students. In DRDO more than 20% scientist belongs to our college.
Placement Experience
After 7th semester a student can eligible for placement. Many companies like Oracle, Microsoft ,Toyota and more.56lakh highest and 16 lakh average.90% students placed every year. I want to prepare for upsc.
Fees and Financial Aid
By comparing other years I found that fees is increasing every year with more than 10%. But this college ROI is good. There are many fees concession for students in college. For sc,st students college fees is free. While for students annual income less than 1 lakh fees is free. For students parents annual income less than 5 lakh 2/3 concession is providing.
Campus Life
There is two main fest in college one is technical fest tathva and other one is cultural fest ragam. Tathva is celebrated in November while ragam in March. Nit calicut library is one of the biggest college library of india with a book more than 2 lakh. Classroom quality is also good. In branches there is plug for laptop charging. There is no ac in class and hostel so we have to manage it ourselves. There are many grounds for different sports. Cricket ground is really so big. There is almost every sports facilities. There are many cultural club in our college, technical club,mime club,acting clubs also.
Hostel Facilities
In a first year students room there is 4 bed for 4 students with 3 almirah, 4 chairs and table and 3 charging plug. Meal quality is good but for a veg North Indian student it's not that what we expect, it's taste is somewhat different because they use coconut oil in cooking. There is a nit calicut hostel app on Play Store from which we can register and pay the fees. There are very few rooms available nearby to stay even there is no hotel nearby of our college.
Admission
You have to clear jee mains. With josaa and csab counseling we can apply for this college. It's a government college so reservation is provided to sc,st,obc,female and general ews students. I want it to make some easy website for students
Interview Experience
I have to clear jee mains to get this college. It's a national institute of technology calicut. We have to maintain a good percentile in jee mains for this tier 1 college. I prepared for jee mains in Allen kota.
