I chooses this course because was I was interested in this course . Moreover I was passionate about vechicle sort things. They are maintaining a healthy faculty student ratio. 97 percentage of the faculties in this college have PhD. The exams were conducted at the proper intervals and was of moderate difficulty

Internships Opportunities

Internships are also available from third year of the course. Many multinational companies like samsung provide internship opportunities in this college. First of all we want to submit our project to the team.

After completion of sixth semester student can sit for placement drive in this college. Highest package was 50 lakh . The average package is 12 lakh . Nearly 80 percentage students get placed.My plan is to get a good placement

Fees and Financial Aid

It almost cost 72000 per sem as institute fee in this college. But there are many scholarships. So it is very easy to get any deduction. For OBC students with annual income less than 1 lakh have to pay only one third of the fees

Campus Life

The annual fest which is most popular in South India. It is usually conducted in the month of January.Tech fest is usually conducted in the month of January. The college has a great sports culture and many clubs.

Hostel Facilities

In the hostel room everyone gets a bed , a cupboard, a chair and a table. Meal quality is also pretty good. Registration process for hostel is through their hostel app. Usually a room consists of 4 members.

Admission

The admission to the college is through jee mains which was conducted twice previous year. In the two examination, better score will be taken as oru final score and rank will be published on the basis of this percentile. Application form can be found on the site of NTA. For students for OBC category, a separate obc rank will be issued and the admission will on the basis of that list

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
