Life at nitc

Civil engineering is a core engineering.I want try something different more like breaking the stereotypes (beyond choosing cse) .and somehow I entered into this(more like course was choosed me not me choosed the course????). Faculty is good and the ratio is also balanced .a batch contains 43members so it's good enough for a faculty to reach students and viseversa.the teaching method is good except for few.every semester is for 4 and half months and 2 exams were conducted (mid and end sem).i can paper will be little bit tough but the rate of pass is very high.

I don't know much about internships but according to what I heard from my seniors and. One can do internships during summer vacation it's for about 3 months and during 2nd and 3rd years of their college life

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements .A good no of core and it companies are visited like Amazon ,L&T ,Infosys,ms etc .. above 65-70% students are get placed during college placements .the average package is 14.5 lakh per annum.and the highest so far is 47 lakh per annum .I want to pursue masters after getting the degree

For a OBC candidate the total fee including hostel is around 1.5 lakhs and quite a good numbers of scholarships are available in online .colleges will also provide scholarships based the semester exams scores .but I didn't applied for outside campus scholarships I was trying inside campus scholarships but didn't got any so far ..

Nit Calicut is known for its cultural fest ragam which is south India's most biggeat fest .and tech fest tathva .A good number of reference books are available in the library and classroom are extremely large and all the necessary amendments are available in classrooms.Sports and extra curricular activities are also prioritised .inner nits and iits competitions are conducted time to time.many clubs are available for students and runned by students like music ,dance ,tech , adventure and so on

Firstly,I live in campus hostel and the fee per semester is 33k .for 1st year students no single rooms are available.every students gets a bed and a table with a chair and 1 cupboard is provided.mess quality and food is very good .the menu is such a way any student from any part of the country can adapt easily.and registration process for easy and done in the presence of college administratives .

Firstly ,one has to write jee mains entrance exam to get into nits.if you clear the cutoff and score good enough then according to your performance you will get into an nit and relatively a branch.nits are ranked based on nrif ranking .the cutoff marks for any catagory is depends on the college .So naturally lowest nrif ranking nits will have least cutoff .So to get into top 5 nits and a good branch .you have to score atleast 95 or above percentile (an OBC candidate). secondly, coming to application process every year around October the application process will begins the process is every simple and fee is also a considerate amount as for me (OBC) it's 700 .you can apply it in online(go to meseva centre or if laptop is available you do it by your own).lastly it's all about your preparation.If prepared well you these things will naturally happens so don't worry about these things just focus on your preparation
