- It's period of completing semester is less
- Date of exam are always together no gap between the subject to take extra depend
- Duration of daily class time is from 8 am to 5 pm including 1 hr of break for lunch
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because civil engineering have a lot scope for developing assam And honestly faculties are good mainly everything is depend on yourself how you attend the class or how serious you are Don't tensed about the faculty they are highly qualified, they graduated and did masters from highly recognised institution Due to corona period, term of completing syllabus is reduced it's about take 3-4 month for complete the syllabus but don't take tension about to pass the exam , it's easy to pass and if you work hard then definitely you can get high cgpa
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is same like all the nits , and if you are reserved then it is also beneficial as i am belong to the family income under 1 lakh , so I have to pay only 10100 + 22500 hostel fees for per semester. Definitely it's fees is too good Many scholarship can be avail by the student like ongc , ffe , nsp , siemen and many more and all the branch are eligible for this scholarship by this scholarship you can get financial assistance. There is many more paid or non paid internship available and placement is too good in our campus ,, this year many more good companies hired students from nit Silchar with high stupend
Campus Life
Incandescene and tecnoesis are the main fest host in campus and other than this there is lot of clubs are there, all can enjoy and participate in that easily . Fest take non stop 3-4 days . And don't panic about the book because nit Silchar is the largest digital library in Asia , which is beneficial for the student who like to read the book but we most use pdf for reading For 1st year classrooms are not too well maintained but its enough with fan and lights , Now about the sports , there is inter nit competition takes place in every sports , there you can play every games from kho kho to table tennis everything is available and college focus on extra curricular activities also There is many more social groups in WhatsApp or Facebook about more than 50 groups are there . Like ncc nits and t&p group also
Hostel Facilities
One room is shared by two students having wordrobe, soft chair , steel bed wifi connectivity one for each student And meal is good but not too good and daily have different dish like chicken 4 days in a week and fish one day and egg for 1 week , and veg dish is also available, but meal menu is not like IIT , IIT is good than nit Registration process is very easy dont panic about that and value for money In the city SILCHAR you can take rent a room or pg at minimal price
Admission
Eligibility is jee mains after qualifying jee mains , you have to register on josaa and csab for counseling. Everything about the college fees and application date is provided in the website of nit Silchar Reservation criteria is 50% for its own state that is assam and other sc and st reservation can take benefit also No improvement needed for admission process
