Likes

My class rooms are very good and there we can feel a good atmosphere and overall classes are very nice
In NIT Calicut wr can see so many resting places like amphitheatre OAT and all
Library's are available 24/7 and we can go there with our friends and disscus and study easily

Dislikes

Our hostal wardens are very nice and they will check on us for every day and enquire about our needs and all

Course Curriculum Overview

As of my preferences and passion I took electrical department for my good future and for every course there is so many faculties which are available 24/7 and the faculty student ratio is around 1: 20 and they conduct so many exams and quizzes weekly and monthly for students

There are so many interesting intership offers for students from 3rd year onwards.and we can go for intership interviews by our own or submitting our projects or works related online to them for applying internships

Courses are about 4 years btech and 5 years barch and there are so many pg courses and PhD graduates here.and the main thing is the placements and here the avarage placements are about 14lpa and highest is about 70lpa and lowest 5lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually the fee structure for my course or any other courses in NIT Calicut is same for all but there will be some difference related to our financial status.and for students coming from low financial situation they can avail scholarships like egratz and all

Campus Life

From my view the best campus life is available at NIT Calicut. That's the main reason for me to take NIT Calicut in Frist priority and the Library facility here is awesome and it's also available any time and here we conduct so many programs dailyyy

Hostel Facilities

Hostal is also very nice and there will be four persons in a room and the mess food can be choosen by us like if we need southern northern or western and daily they provide snaks and night mess till 2 am morning

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

For getting into NIT Calicut the main procedure is to crack jee mains examination and i prepared one year fully for jee mains examination and got around 98.2 percentile which is enough to get any good NIT and I opted NIT Calicut Electrical and electronics engineering department.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
