Course Curriculum Overview

5

The exams are being held in every 4 to 5 months. Since economics honours is hard , it is quite difficult to pass , but if you have a real interest in economics and maths , you'll score good marks , no need to worry much.

Internships Opportunities

5

In second year , there ia a on campus internship drive almost 50, 60 studnets get internship , the highest internship offered was from HUL of 2,00,000 INR .The lowest internship which was offered was 30,000 INR from Ramgroup. Companies which offer internships include Hul , Ramgroup , Mc Kindey , Bank of America

Placement Experience

5

Srcc's placement is the best in Du , highest package offered was 46 lcs this year , placement is currently happening only , the least paclage which i saw last year was 6 lacs the average package was around 10 lacs . Students are eligible for placement from5th semester , thats is , 3rd year. Name of the companies which came and offered placement include McKinsey , Deloitte , Black salt , HUL ,Zomato , etc. Almost everyone gets placed . Im planning to go for masters in economics after the undergradation . I'll try to get into DSE or Mse or ISI or any other good college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is around 29k - 30k INR for students of India , it is arouns 60k for students from foreign countries. There aremany scholarships which come every other week here. Even college provides laptop till the graduation duration who does not have a laptop. In 2nd year , there is a internship drive , this year the highest internship offered was HUL , an onsite Mumbai based inter ship of 2 lacs for 2 months. In the 3rd year , 5th sem , the placement drive starts , the placement cell is very good , ive not seen anyone getting less than 6 lacs here , the highwst package offered this year is 46 lacs from a company called Black Salt.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is awesome here , ive been to other colleges , but the there is ahuge difference in SRCC's crowd and other college's crowd even if the college is any other North campus college . I think the main reason of this is that SRCC offers only 2 course in undergrad that is evonomics honours and bcom hons , while all other colleges of du offers a variety of courses which also includes english honours , hindi honours , Ba program , etc . This creates a sort of specialisation for SRCC , there is a nerd type of ambience in the college. There is ahuge library in the college witch digital computers adn system , you can borrow any boon from library on your own from just a few clicks on the computer screen there . Library has ac , heater , wifi, charging spot , usb , etc. Srcc is the only college of Du to have an indoor sports complex , it was made in 2010 during commonwealth games. In that we have gym , and sauna bath room , physio and medical room too. There are around 30 socities

Hostel Facilities

4

There is 2 building of biys hostel , the third one is being constructed , currently we are 120 boys . There is a girls hostel too. We get a cupboard in every room , and two beds , tgere is a washroom at every floor , daily staffs come and clean the washroom and floors , there is a AC common room too in which we can olan table tennis and all. Meal is decent . The menu changes every 2 - 3 months. Hostel is alloted on marks basis and trust me getting into SRCC's hostel is very tough. Fees is around 1 lac except Pwd students. I've got hostel in 2nd ywar . In first year , I rented a pg in roopnagar , rent was 16k oer konth

Admission

I got admission through Cuet. The eligibility of the course is that english or and other language plus 3 domains and maths is one of the mandatory subject in those 3 subjects. You can find the application on NTA website. I had also applied for sports quota , in the first round of counselling I got DCAC on merit , then on sports quota 1st round I got hansraj and finally in the 2nd and alst round of sports quota I got SRCC , my course was economics honours in all the three colleges.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
