Onward to Glory

The course curriculum is as per sppu and is designed to make you industry ready at the end of your cousrse and for the faculty members they too are good with some pursuing other degrees like phd while teaching at the college. The faculty to student ratio is somewhat around 20:1. All the faculties are highly qualified in their field and have achieved a lot such as they have research papers,journals in their names. All the classes are equipped with advanced technology and the teachers teach in very convenient way and as per the needs of the students. In each semester one End sem and one in sem exam are conducted of 70 and 30 marks respectively.

A lot of companies provide internships to students and internships start from the second year itself where students can apply for companies or start ups and can do their work from the college itself .

Placements are really good but the impact of global recession can be seen on this year's placements as well. Students are eligible for placements in their 4th year. More than 100 companies visit the college and more than 350 offers are made every year. Highest package for this year is 52 l.p.a and average is around 15 l.p.a. Almost 100% of students are placed with some opting for higher studies. My plan is to prepare for the civil services after the degree

The fees structure is provided on the website in detailed mannner including tuition fees,hostel fees,mess charges and other charges. There are a lot of scholarships that are provided by the college individually and in collaboration with other companies/start-ups such as tata. The fees hike policy is declared at end of the year and is usually around 3-4%. A lot of scholarships are available for girls and internship opportunities too.

Life is pretty good at AIT. Around 30 clubs are there for students to cater the needs and interests of students in literally every domain such as the competitive coding club for coding,e-cell club for entrepreneurship,oss for web developments and many others.Various annual fest like cultural aakriti,tech aakriti e.t.c are conducted . The library is well equipped and has around 36000 books/Journals to meet the needs of the students and faculty, Classes too are digititally enhanced. Sports aakriti and many sporting competitions are held regularly throughout the year as well as extra curricular activities. Various accounts are run on social media by members of different clubs of ait for students.

Hostel facility is really good with study table,study chair,sleeping bed,almirah e.t.c provided for each student. Rooms are mostly triplets and singlets and would be given to students depending on the merit list of students and their performance in all activities. The mess menu is more than sufficient ot meet the calorie requirement of students and includes all the necessary things with good taste, Registration for hostel is done during admisssion process and they are really affordable considering the facilities that are being provide.

Admission is completely based on merit and is only for the wards of army personnel. The eligibility is same as just for the NIT's and other institutes. The application form,application fees and application dates are provided well in advance on the official website of ait. The entire admission process goes on very smoothly without much complications .
