Course Curriculum Overview

Economics honours is a very demanding course. It is one of the toughest courses in DU. The faculty in SPMCW was mostly good. The faculty student ratio was roughly 1:30 for core subjects. Term exams requires you to have knowledge, else you can fail. It is not one of those courses which you can pass with common sense.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In general Delhi University is a very affordable educational institute. SPMCW fees for the whole graduation was less than 30 thousand. There are jobs that you can get for like 5000/10,000 for 20 hours/week offered by the university itself.

Campus Life

Well, It mostly depends on students. If students want they can make college life full of events and if they don't, they can stick to classes only. It's totally up to you. Teachers are helpful if you are willing to organise events.

Admission

It was based on the 12th class marks. The eligibility was to have mathematics in class 12th necessarily. Economics honours tends to have a very high cutoff, I got admitted in the last cutoff with a 91.75%

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

SPMCW is Special!!

I applied at colleges such as LSR and Gargi purely because they were also girls colleges and are above ranked than my college. In DU though a proper merit system works and in that merit my score couldn't get admission in those two colleges.
