Remarks

This college don't have any playground. No proper canteen which don't let the feel of anything like a college. and as far campus selection.. well instead of blaming the incapability of college to recruit students.. students are blamed for lack of technical knowledge.. and hence are not placed!

Entrance Preview

I appeared for MHT-CET entrance exam which was the mandatory exam for the engineering colleges in Maharashtra. I was interested in completing my degree from SPPU, so I applied for the cap round process of DTE, end ended up getting allotted to the college. There was no interview process followed. I was interested in the field of E & TC.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is good. Some more focus on the practical learning was needed. As we know EnTC is considered one among the most vast branch of engineering. It is a tough task to get the things in limited practical sessions. There are few research initiatives taken by the institutes, the institutes also provides great help for the research initiatives taken by students. They provide them the sponsorship from reputed companies.

Internships Opportunities

The college doesn't provide any internship on their own. They just concentrate on the industrial visits. They need to pay some attention over the internships. We a group of 4 have done an internship, were provided a stipend of 4k. The experience at internship is so good. Way too high than the theoretical knowledge from books.

Placement Experience

2

The college placement scenario is quite disappointing. There are plenty of companies visiting the college but even then the number of students recruited by them is too low. The major companies visiting the college are Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, etc. Average no of students placed is around 50% . And the average package given is about 2.8 LPA.

College Events

4.5

There are many events held on the college campus. They consist of technical non technical, & cultural events. The cultural program is held every year in the college. It is huge and there are huge number of students attending as well as participating from the college. The college tries well for organising such events ,however the things are needed to be spiced up. The average footfall was about 2K.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is quite expensive not so affordable. The campus is however maintained well, but the necessary facilities aren't much satisfactory in the College as the fees are concerned. The fees for the open category students are 90k. The fees vary according to the category of students but to only those who are allotted to the college by cap round.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are the scholarship provided by the College to the students who are allotted to the college through cap round. Only those students are eligible to the scholarship. I did avail one scholarship. The scholarships were according to the category of students. The college helped the students getting educational loan. It just helped in completing the application & certifying it.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is good in Extracurriculars. The college takes measures like the Provision for internet access has been made available and they have Wi-fi enabled labs but usage is restricted. There are sometimes guest lectures held in the college.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I never resided at the college hostel as I do reside at the military hostel. There is the hostel provided for the girls and boys students. The rooms are available at sharing. The number of rooms available are not too much. They don't have PGs. The hostel fees are around 50k- just for residing. I don't know whether there is food provided on the hostel or not. Even if there is the food provided the quality must be good.

Alumni/Alumna

The college very rarely go through such kind of things. Even though the college is established a decade before the isn't having a healthy alumni network. The college is supposed to make some good provision for the same as the alumni can contribute alot in the overall development of college & students.

Exam Structure

Yes the Exams are very frequent making us tired. The labs aren't making us exhausted if the schedule for it is managed well. Along with this the college faculties suppress us with the loads of assignments. The exams are strictly held.

Faculty

3

Faculty of this college is not so good. They are masters & PhDs, though They aren't having much experience in the profession of teaching. This thing makes the students difficult to the subject taught. The faculties are good at interacting as they try their best to deliver the knowledge to students.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
