Remarks

The college is moderate. I will rate 2.5 out of 5. The college must remember multinational companies are not visiting in our college. Where they must. Campus is quite fair in the downtown. Availability of facilities is not good.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for an entrance exam that was then compulsory for the engineering admissions. The MH-CET. I landed up in the college as I was allotted the college through centralized admission process list. There was no interview process followed. One of my uncle is mechanical engineer, along with the time spent with them I developed interest in doing mechanical engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The Mechanical engineering degree is a real vast branch. The course was a good course that I chose. The focus on the practical learning & the knowledge is quite good. The Management of laboratory is quite good. Their maintenance takes place at every month or in case weekly it conducts maintenance. There were some teachers along with the students involved in the research initiatives at college level then.

Internships Opportunities

The college didn't provide any internship to our batch. They aimed highly on the industrial visits for one day return learning camps. I never had a internship provdided by the College so no idea about the experience & the stipend provided.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placement scenario in the college is indifferent. Currently no any multinational companies are visited in our college but company such as Mahindra, Sona, Atlas copco, Mahindra and Mahindra are the major recruiters in the college. average students placed were 60-70 % With the average package 4 LPA.

College Events

1.5

There were cultural program held every year in the college. Along with this there were technical & non technical events held in the college regularly. The cultural program was the biggest attraction. It was huge. The footfall must be around 2k. The college authority wasn't organizing the entries & seats well for the same.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college can be said quite affordable. Not just comparatively but also individually. For open category the fee is around 60k annually and for other backward class the fee is around 32k annually and for schedule caste and schedule tribe the fees is around only 4k annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were the scholarships provided by the College like earn & learn scholarship. Which is helpful for us I mean the students to earn some money on their own by real fruitful efforts. Also the category wise scholarships were provided to the eligible candidates. Yes the college supported lot for the Educational loan purpose. They sometimes contact banks & give some reference.

Campus Life

2

The college in arranging extra curricular activities in the Campus is quite fair. It organised all those things with precise management. The students in the college gets ample opportunities to explore inner talent, however the number of events taking place were quite less. There were shorts events held. Guest lectures were also held.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There was the hostel provision given to the students. I was a day scholar for entire 4 years of engineering as my home was not a much distance apart. The hostel was not that good. The rooms were strictly on sharing. They didn't have PGs. The fees were I guess 40k to reside only. The mess charges were charged differently . The food wasn't good at all.

Alumni/Alumna

The college isn't having any alumni network of its own . Even if it had, we were never introduced to any of our alumni. We never had a platform to interact with the former students too.

Exam Structure

The exams & labs were Fair . It was surely a fair play. The labs & the exams were not making us tired. As we deals with mechanical engineering we were having plenty of practical sessions.

Faculty

2

The faculties in the college were not so good at teaching. Some of them were experienced along with good qualifications. But the rest were just the qualified staff with not at all the convincing quality teaching. However they tries to be more & more interactive with the students. They aren't frustrated with the students issues. The standard of teaching is moderate.

During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
