I like campus of this college and students are quite friendly.
Fees are quite affordable for all the students.
We have different scholarship facilities in our college

Dislikes

Exam conduction is not that good we have to give 6-7 exams in three days that is quite tough.
Department should focus more on practical work rather then theory
Every student get a chance they should not stick to one student

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because it is beneficial for IT sector if we want to pursue our carrier in that. Faculty here in this college is good they do help us in studies and other stuffs. Qualification of faculty is good and their teaching method is overall okay they use slides and notes for teaching. We have terms exam in every 1-2 months they are quite easy and they clear our subject more.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 23000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for girls are less as compare to boys. It is quite affordable for all the students whether they are boys or girls. We have different scholarship for girls students like pragati and many more scholarship that provided by government.

Campus Life

We have a technical fest once in a year that is quite good. It is conducted in June or July at the semester end. Sports fest are also there it is played between different departments and many other extra curricular activities are also held and we have different clubs in our college.

Admission

I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Electronics and communication from Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College Sundernagar. It is a great experience to be in this college to learn different things from our teachers. Eligibility is that you have to score good marks on your 12th exam and jee mains. Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took civil because is good and all teachers are on there post and are very good. Civil engineering plays very important role in construction of buildings and dams etc. Exams are mostly held in September November and December for odd sem and for Even sem it is feb April and may.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

My other options were both private colleges which I've stated earlier. They both are very imfamous colleges. But also tgere is a lot of students who took admission there. All about jngec

I applied to all the Government colleges and all the colleges that come under hptu and choose this college because it is considered to be best for government civil engineering course and I had the option to choose any college but I choose this because it is a good college for the admission we have to give entrance test or on the basis of JEE mains so after the admission test there is merit list and the counselling and you get the admission letter that's all it's it's a very easy process you just have to score there is a lot of competition but yeah you can get admission not easily but not that tough...Read More
