Some honest reviews of my college

I choosed this course because I always wanted to go into the field of computer science. The faculties here are quiet good. Having altleast a master degree in their respective fields. In first year the faculties you will get are good they teach really well (except for one or two) but when you reach the second year you may face some problems or issues with the faculties. They don't explain important concepts nicely and may sometimes ignore you if you have some query related to any subject. Exams are conducted twice a semester(mid and end), mid semester exams are held at the end of the second month of the semester and end semester exams are held at the end of the semesters. You may also face some issues regarding the syllabus completion at the end of the semester.

SInce right now I am in 3rd semester I have not applied for any internship. If you have good coding skills you may apply as a mentor in the WeCode club run by the student(no stipend). From 3rd semester the college asks you to create some projects which are reviewed by the faculties and accordingly marks are given.

The students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester. Companies that mainly visited the college are Rubico, zscaler, capegemini,amazon, Accenture The highest package went is 44 lakhs and the average package is 7 to 8 lakhs. 40-50 percent of student get placed in the on campus placement drive. My plans after completing the degree is the appear for GATE and complete my masters

The overall cost for 4 years B.Tech program is somewhere around 900000-1100000(no scholarships applied). You will get a scholarship of 25% if you belong to himalyan region(Uttarakhand,northeast region, jammu,etc). You will get a 5% and 10% discount on your fees if you pay them semester wise and yearly respectively. You will also get an academic scholarship based on your 10th and 12th marks and later based on the performance in the semester exams of the college.

Campus life is quite great here because the university is located in the between the hills. You may expect some great scenary during different seasons of the year. Grafest is the annual fest of this college, recently they invited Neha Kakkar for performing in the fest. The classrooms are good and each classroom has its own projector for the purpose of visual learning. The classrooms in the new building are quite large and fitted with speakers and projectors. The library is filled with a variety of books which you can use at the time of exams. You may also find Journals written by students and teachers. You also get a computer lab in the library to practice coding or do other stuff related to your work. Sports are widely played in the campus specially basketball, cricket and football. We also have various spots events recently Lakshya Sen was invited in a sports event. Social clubs like WeCode, Electra, ECell are that are run by students.

Hostels inside the campus have rooms for three people having bathroom for each room. You get a 1.5GB of data from the college daily. Hostels outside the campus are mainly logdes and cottages here you may get unlimited wifi. If you stay in the hostel inside the campus you will have to eat in the mess inside the campus. The food quality here is very poor, same dish is repeated again and again. If you avail the food from the mess inside the campus,certainly you may fall ill but if you have food from the mess which is outside the campus you can have some quality food. If you want the avail the hostel and not want to be part of the waitlisted students you have to contact the college very early during the admission season. Hostel fees is 75000 yearly.

The admission is as follows: You shold have opted for Science(PCM) in your 12th. Must have a decent score like greater than equal to 70 percent in your 10th and 12th. You can directly call the admission cell of the college for admission purpose or go to their website and fill the admission form. The application fees is Rs.1500. If you belong to himalyan region(uttaraknad,assam,jammu, Kashmir, etc) you will get a discount of 25% on your fees and if you also pay the fees yearly you will get a discount of 10% and if semester wise fees is paid you will get a discount of 5% on your fees. You will also get a academic scholarship if you have a good score in your 10th and 12th.
